Tears welled up in my eyes as I watched her body, almost decaying. I looked over to all the other corpses inside each box. I will give them justice. I won't let him get away this time. I wiped my tears and looked over to Irene who seemed shaken as well.I let out a huge sigh and walked over to the empty box which was different from all the other boxes in the room. I scanned the box but stopped when I saw words carved on a wooden plate in the very corner of the box.
"Kim Y/n"
It made my pulse race when I realised this was especially for me. The empty box was kept for me. "W-We have t-to get out." My voice was as good as inaudible and I backed away from the box. He was going to keep me in the collection as well. But I won't let that happen. Never. I will fight for all the innocent souls he killed. I would give them justice.
"We have to. But h-he will find us Y/n." Irene spoke after a long pause. "But staying here is not safe either." My voice seemed desperate as we made our way out of the room. I muttered a "sorry" as I looked at Bella's corpse. Only if I had not been a coward and looked at her that day, maybe I would have been able to save her.
"I should call Jungkook right away." I spoke when we sat on the couch in the living room. "But neither of us has a cell phone. Taehyung never allowed us to use it "
I bit my lower lip at the thought of that. How would we communicate with Jungkook when we don't have phones with us?
"It's almost evening. I should better go and prepare dinner." She spoke before passing me a small smile and walked out of the living room. I looked out of the window only to see darkness slowly creeping out. I sighed as I watched her figure fading away from my sight.
I never thought Taehyung could go so far. He killed innocent souls. Why was he doing this? For what? Did he really want to kill me? What if he finds out that we have been in that room? What more worse could happen?
The questions flashed in my mind that I completely forgot about the track of time. I sat there for a couple of hours. My mind was numb. All I could think of was to get out of this place right now. Taehyung was not here so it could be easier to escape, right? Or else I should wait for him to come back so I could grab his phone and make a call to Jungkook without him knowing. It would not be possible for me or Irene to do it all alone. We needed Jungkook's help because he is familiar with the cops. He would surely help.
We almost flinched when we heard the front door open as we sat in the living room with palpitating heart, trying our best not to look suspicious. We knew Taehyung was very clever and that's the reason why we had to be very cautious of our acts. One wrong move and you'll face your worst nightmare.
"Why are you two sitting here?" His deep voice sent chills down my spine and I stared at my lap while I heard Irene's nervous chuckle. "We were waiting for you. Let's go have dinner together."
I stood up and followed Irene in the dining area. I felt my heart thump so loudly in my chest when we passed Taehyung. And from the corner of my eyes, I could see him already feel his eyes on me.
I ate my last bite and drank the glass of water. Taking a quick glance at Irene, I saw that she was done as well and so was Taehyung. I was about to get up from the chair but stopped when I heard his voice. "Stop with you actions sweetheart." And with a palpitating heart, I slowly sat back while my eyes wandered everywhere but him. My hands trembled and I tightly held my hands together to stop them from trembling more.
"Good night Taehyung. Good night Y/n." I slowly smiled at her before she was gone out of our sight. Oh how badly I wanted her to stop from leaving me but I couldn't. I didn't had even the slightest of courage to open my mouth infront of him. I knew she didn't want to leave either but she also knew Taehyung would not like it when she stayed here without any reason.
