The Fault In Romance

jungkook's pov:

as soon as I walked down the hallways of the school, my eyes landed on the blood that was still on the floor. taehyung's blood. they have blocked the area off for the cleaners to clean. I did not realise how long I have been standing there when I felt a hand on my shoulder, I turned to see ryan looking at the same puddle of blood with a sad expression. 

"how is he doing?" ryan asked, I turned to look at him as I tried to gather the words. 

"you can tell he is trying to put on a brave front but h-he is in s-so much p-pain" I stuttered, soon those tears were flowing back out. ryan knew I hated crying in front of people so he grabbed my wrist and pulled me into the locker room. 

"how could luke do that to taehyung? how could he do something like that to anyone?" I was so furious. 

"have I missed something? I did not think luke and taehyung even had beef let alone even talked" I said to ryan who sighed as he sat on the bench. 

"he has been bullying taehyung for years" ryan said sighing as he crossed his hands over his chest. 

"what?" I said, sitting in front of him on the bench. 

"luke has been bullying taehyung for years now, I did not find out until we were at that sleepover at yours"

"I went to go get water and I walked into the kitchen and saw taehyung was crying and luke was with him. at first I thought maybe they were friends and luke was just being there for him but then a few weeks later I was walking down the hallway and saw luke had punched tae"

"tae was on the floor his nose was bleeding, he was upset and luke was angry. I found out that day that luke was bullying taehyung" ryan explained. 

"I remember that, taehyung and I were having a few issues and I was so confused when he went away with you. I remember being worried and taehyung would not tell me anything"

"why did he not tell me that he was getting bullied by him, I put him in situations where he had to be around luke." even saying that broke my heart. 

"I put him in situations where he was with the one person that hurts him, makes him uncomfortable and that he is scared of" 

"that night you caught him and luke in the kitchen, taehyung came to me that night and he was crying. he slept in my bed that night. I should of pieced two and two together" the guilt was just eating me up. 

ryan was silent until he shuffled to face me more. 

"the whole time taehyung was thinking about lukes career. if you found out luke was hurting him he knew you would tell coach and luke would loose his place on the team and loose his scholarships" ryan said, I sighed and rubbed my head. 

"the whole time he was worried about lukes career when luke was making his life a living hell" I said, I felt angry but at the same time I understood why taehyung kept it to himself. 

"I tried my best to make sure luke was no where near him, it was the only thing I could do. I knew if I told you taehyung would not trust me anymore. I really wanted to tell you kook but since I could not the only thing I could think of is to protect taehyung myself" ryan whispered

"and I f-failed. I k-keep kicking myself that luke hurt him really badly. I s-should of been there" ryan was getting emotional he had a few tears rolling down his cheeks along with mine. it moved me a lot seeing ryan get emotional for taehyung. 

ryan does not cry often, I really appreciate how much ryan has had taehyung's back. 

"you protected him more then you think you have. thank you ry" I said, patting his shoulder as I wiped both our tears. 

"what are you going to do about luke?" ryan asked me. 

"I am going to talk to coach, I know this is what taehyung did not want me to do but he does not have a place on the team. I wont tolerate bullies, or someone who can put someone into the hospital" I sighed we both stood up and headed towards the coaches office. 

"want me to come?" ryan asked, I nodded my head. 

"yeah, you can tell coach your perspective as well. I hope we can get him off the team" I said, we both entered coaches office when we saw him inside. the door was opened so we just walked inside. 

"afternoon boys, take a seat" the coach said, standing up as he shut his office door. 

"before you both start, I have heard about luke" the coach said, sitting on his chair. 

I was not surprised that he has since so many people were there. 

"I have already decided to kick him off the team. tim will replace ryan's position, I think he will be ready for the game" coach explained, I agreed and was glad we were already on the same page. I looked at ryan who nodded as soon as our eyes met. 

"has luke been kicked out of the school?" I asked, hoping it was a yes but coach shook his head. 

"he has been suspended for three weeks but he will be back. he is not allowed to be anywhere near taehyung and if he does he will be expelled. there are only two months left of this school year and you all will go your separate ways. I wanted him out of this school as well but the best i could do is kicked off the team" coach said

I am disappointed that he is still going to be around but I will make sure when taehyung is back to school I will make sure either me, ryan or jimin is there with him. I am not letting taehyung get hurt again. 

"thanks coach" ryan and I both say as we stand up. 

"I let the other guys know in training today that the basketball game this weekend was cancelled, it will be postponed until graduation week. the basketball game is on the thursday and the graduation is on friday" coach said, handing them both a slip as a reminder. 

"why was it cancelled?" ryan questioned. 

"we are in for another storm this weekend, so they have cancelled it" coach replied.
