The Fault In Romance

taehyung's pov:

 "I wont lie, I love reading" to me personally I feel like if I say things about me that are true I would be less likely to find love. but at the same time, I dont want to lie about who I am. 

"oh really?" jungkook asked, I nodded and fell silent again. 

"what book are you reading now and what is it about?" he asked, genuinely seeming curious. 

"its called him. its about two guys who were close friends, they were on some type of camp together and one of them sucked the other off and then ended up ghosting him. they meet years later at a hockey event and they have ups and downs as they try to figure out what happened" I explained, looking at jungkook who looked like he wanted to know more. 

"do they end up sleeping together?" the raven asked

"yeah, well the part I am up to they did just have sex but now I think one of them is scared that the other guy might back out" I tried to explain, smiling when jungkook started to nod his head. 

"I might have to read that book" he whispers

"you read?" I ask

"yeah, not a lot though but when I do now and then if a book catches my eye" he replied

"maybe when I am done I will let you borrow my book" I smile when he does so and nods his head. 

"sounds good" he whispered, his eye contact was insane. he never looked away from me which was hard cause it definitely made me shy. 

"so do you just play sports and sing?" I ask

"yeah, I have been playing basketball for a long time now and have always had a passion for singing" jungkook answered. 

"you have a beautiful voice" I said, wanting to give him a little compliment. when I saw him smile it definitely made me feel good. 

"that means a lot. thank you" 

silence filled the room, I liked where the conversations were going. as time passed we talked about a whole bunch of stuff. movies, books, sports, people and food. it felt like a speed date but in our cause when one person has a crush on someone who is just being nice. 

"do you have any siblings?" jungkook asks, coming back from the kitchen with two fizzy drinks. 

"no I dont, do you?" I ask and he nods. 

"yeah I have a baby sister, she is currently with my parents but they will be back soon"

"aw cute, how old is she?" 

"7 months" 

"aww so she is still very much a baby" I chuckle, and he laughs and nods. 

"do you like having a sibling?" 

"yeah I do, my parents are so busy that sometimes they dont have time for my sister which is sad to see but they are trying so hard to work everything to provide for my sister and I" the raven said, his eyes not leaving mine as he speaks. 

"your parents sound like amazing people. it must be a relief to them that you can look after baby if they ever need" 

"yeah I think it does help alot but in saying that, I am not always available. I have lots of stuff going on a school and after class activities, it ends up making me feel guilty" jungkook whispers 

"what do your parents do?" 

"my mum is a therapist at the school but she does mental health talks at schools across the countries. my dad owns a business and travels with her for business. they do that so they are killing two birds with one stone" 

"what do you parents do?" he asked

"my mum is a beautician, and my dad is an electrician. they have been away on their anniversary for a little bit now, they keep extending their trips" 

"wahh! a beautician! that is so cool. what stuff does she do?" jungkook asked

"she does all sorts, massages, make up, nails, waxing, eyebrows, lashes, skin care" there was so much more but I did not want to go on and on about it. 

"has she ever done massages for people that do sports?" he asks and I nod. 

"yeah she does, why?"

"I always have such a sore body after games and training that it would be really nice to get a massage. If I am honest, normally I will just go somewhere to get it done but I once did and the person took pictures of me when I was laying on the chair thing shirtless, she ended up showing her daughter who went to the school and the daughter spread the picture around" 

my lips parted in shock over that, I could not believe that was true. that must of felt so violating. 

"Im sorry that happened to you, your trust for people must of gone downhill from that experience" I whisper

"It did, but I just thought that if I could book an appointment to see your mum to get a massage that I know everything will stay private" jungkook said, I nodded and pulled out my phone. 

"my mum has a store, and she has a place inside the house where sometimes clients come. which would you prefer?" I question, getting him to write his number on my phone. 

"maybe at yours?"

I nodded and once my phone was given back to me I quickly sent him my mums number.

"if you just message her and say your name, age and let her know what your wanting to get done and then just say I gave you her number" 

"thank you so much tae, your a life saver" he said, soon looking up from his own phone to see my shocked face at the nickname. 

"oh sorry, that just slipped out. if your no com-" he started but I shook my head. 

"no its fine, I like it" I smiled, trying hard not to squeal in front of him. jungkook chuckled and put his phone down. 

"I would love to meet your baby sister one day, what's her name?" 

"jeon ara" jungkook said

"I think she would love to have a new friend" the raven smiled. they both flinched a little when the doorbell went off. jungkook stood up and went to the door, I peaked my head a little to watch him and saw jimin and jin walk through the door. jungkook ushering them inside as it was still pouring down. 

they both pulled jungkook into a hug before they headed towards the lounge.
