Rhea waited, sitting on the stairs of the house, and saw someone opening the gate. She noticed Freen being carried by someone.
"Green!" she shouted and ran towards her.
"What happened to Green?" Rhea asked, looking worriedly at Freen.
"Nothing, baby! She just has a fever," the driver lied, glancing at the concerned child.
"Fever!" Rhea exclaimed, jumping up to touch Freen's head.
"No worries, baby. She's alright. I'll make her sleep inside," the driver said as he carried Freen into the house.
Rhea followed the driver, and once Freen was settled in bed, Rhea turned to the driver. "Uncle, take care of Green. I'll come back," she said, running out of the room.
Rhea dashed to the front door of her house. Seeing her, Becky looked shocked and hurried over.
"What happened? Why are you running like this?" Becky asked, checking Rhea's legs for any signs of injury.
"Mami, come with me! Green is not feeling well!" Rhea started to cry, her voice trembling with worry.
Becky looked at Rhea, confused. "What happened to her?" she asked.
"I don't know, Mami! Please, come!" Rhea rubbed her eyes in distress.
Becky rushed to Freen's room and found Freen on the bed, with an old man standing nearby.
"What happened to her?" Becky questioned the man.
"Ma'am, she's drunk! Laura asked me to drop her home," the old man replied, sounding apologetic.
"Okay, you can go. I'll take care of her," Becky said, fuming in anger. "Before you leave, can you please close the door?" she added.
Becky asked Rhea to sit near Freen and then left to the restroom, arranging a bathtub for a bath.
"Mami, will she be alright? Give her that bitter syrup you used to give me when I wasn't feeling well!" Rhea said to Becky, worry etched on her face.
"No need for that, Rhea. Do me a favor and go grab a dress for Green. I'll take care of her; she needs a bath now," Becky instructed.
"Now? It's 10, Mami!" Rhea said, confused.
"Yes, babe! For this fever, we need to give your Green a bath," Becky affirmed, her tone firm yet gentle.
"Okay!" Rhea ran to Freen's cupboard to find a dress.
Becky gently laid Freen in the bathtub and started to wipe her face, hands, and arms. Freen kept her eyes closed as Becky undressed her to take a shower.
After the bath, Becky helped Freen put on a bathrobe. It was difficult for her to manage while keeping Becky's eyes closed.
Rhea knocked on the door. "Come in, Rhea!" Becky called.
Rhea entered, carrying a set of nightwear for Freen.
Knowing she couldn't change Freen now, Becky laid her back on the bed in the bathrobe. "Take care of her, Rhea. I'll bring some food for Freen," she said as she left the room.
Rhea sat beside Freen, her eyes welling up with tears as she looked at her friend.
Freen slowly opened her eyes and smiled at Rhea. "Green! How are you? Are you fine?" Rhea asked, her voice filled with concern.
