**Flashback**

In Thailand, Becky stood nervously, thinking twice about her next words. Freen looked at her with concern. "Are you sure?" Freen asked, her voice soft but filled with doubt.

"Yes, Freen, I love you!" Becky replied firmly.

Freen shook her head slightly, trying to reason with her. "You’re just 17, Becky. Maybe you think I’m the best now, but soon, you’ll move to London. You’ll meet new people, and maybe you’ll find someone better than me."

Before Freen could say more, Becky gently pressed her hand against Freen's lips. "Anything for you, Freen. Only you," Becky said, looking deeply into Freen's eyes.

Their moment was interrupted by a loud, playful "Hi!" from Jennie, who approached with a grin.

"Phi, that's enough! Dad could come home any minute. I’ll drop Becky off and then head back," Jennie said.

Freen nodded, wrapping her arms around Becky one last time in a tight hug before letting her go.

On the drive home, Jennie glanced at Becky, curiosity in her eyes. "BecBec, why do you love my sister?"

Becky smiled, then threw the question back. "Why do *you* love her?"

Jennie paused, taken aback by the question. "When I lost my parents in the car accident, I came to live with Freen’s family. Even though I’m not her real sister, she never treated me like an outsider. She didn’t just care for me like a sister; she cared for me like a mother. Freen checked on me all the time, took me to school, made sure I was fed. Even though we’re four years apart, she always made me feel safe, like I was her baby."

Becky smiled, nodding. "That’s part of why I love her too."

Jennie looked confused. "What do you mean?"

Becky’s eyes softened. "I lost my parents when I was eight. I’ve lived with my uncle ever since, and while he’s treated me well, I always felt the absence of my parents and my brother. My uncle barely speaks to me. My brother doesn’t even know when my birthday is. The only people who really talk to me are Irin, you, and Freen. My world is small, Jennie."

Becky paused, looking out the car window as memories flooded her mind. "The first day I met you at school, Freen was the one who dropped you off. When she found out I stayed with my uncle, she started caring for me, just like she does for you. She’s always been so loving, so kind. I could list a million reasons why I love her. But honestly, if you ask me for just one... I can’t give you a reason. Love doesn’t need one. Love should be unreasonable." Becky smiled wistfully and continued to gaze out of the window, her heart full.
