"We are here!" Laura halted the car in front of the mall.

Freen looked out and got down, carrying Rhea.

"We're here, cutie! What do you want to buy?" Freen asked Rhea.

"I need to buy a gift," Rhea looked into Freen's eyes.

"A gift! For whom?" Laura asked.

"Green, let's go inside, and we'll see," Rhea pointed toward the mall.

"Yes, we will go inside. But first, tell me," Freen pressed.

"For Becky!" Rhea smiled as she hopped down from Freen's arms, walking toward the mall.

"Oh shit! I forgot—it's her birthday tomorrow," Freen rubbed her neck.

"Seriously! You used to say she is your girlfriend, but you forgot it," Laura teased.

"No! I always forgot. Jennie used to remind me," Freen bit her lip and stopped talking.

"Jennie? She's so close to Becky," Laura said, raising an eyebrow.

"Green! Come fast!" Rhea shouted.

"Yes, she knows Becky better than I do!" Freen said, jogging to catch up with Rhea.

After an hour of shopping, Rhea bought a beautiful black dress for Becky along with several small gifts.

Freen carried all the bags, walking next to Rhea.

"Green! Will you be here tonight so we can surprise Becky?" Rhea asked.

"Sure, cutie," Freen said, walking ahead of Rhea. She pulled out her phone to call Sierra.

Suddenly, a black car sped toward Freen, but Laura, seeing the car, pushed Freen backward and held her tight.

Freen was shocked and looked at the car—it was the same car that had hit Becky.

Rhea hugged Freen tightly and cried.

"Cutie! Look at me! I'm fine. Thanks, Laura."

"Who was that, Freen?" Laura asked, looking in the direction the car had gone.

"I don't know; I was busy with my phone and didn't see the car."

"Freen! They intentionally tried to hit you," Laura said, her voice filled with concern.

"Laura, be quiet. Rhea is already scared. I need to calm her down, and we can talk about this at home."

"Rhea! Shall we have ice cream before heading home?" Laura tried to lift Rhea from Freen's arms.

"No! I want to stay with Green!" Rhea shouted.

"Leave her, Laura. We'll go home now," Freen insisted.

Freen asked Rhea to play with Laura, then went to find Becky.

"Becky!" Freen called out, searching.

"I'm here, Freen. Where is Rhea?" Becky walked toward Freen.

"Tell me the truth!" Freen held Becky's hand.

"Truth?" Becky looked into Freen's eyes.

"Yes! That night, did the car come to hit me?" Freen pressed.

"No, it was just an accident," Becky replied, pulling her hand away.

"Tell me the truth! I saw the same car today!" Freen insisted.

"That man again tried to hit you?" Becky gasped.

"So you saw who was driving the car that night?" Freen blocked Becky's way.

"Freen! Yes, but I don't know who it was. That night, the car came toward you, and I stepped in between," Becky explained.

"Thanks!" Freen said, leaving the house.
