As Freen declined the MBA, Mr. Chankimha decided Jennie should pursue business as her degree.

Jennie didn't mind what she studied, but despite the long debate, she applied to the same college in London as Becky. Mr. Chankimha wasn't thrilled with Jennie's choice, but he ultimately agreed.

Meanwhile, Mr. Chankimha supported Freen's dreams of acting. With Laura's help, Freen applied to acting school, and Laura processed her application.

After a month, the day finally arrived for Freen to see Jennie off at the airport.

"Thank you," Freen said.

"For what, phi?" Jennie asked.

"I know why you were so insistent on studying in London," Freen replied.

"She's your girlfriend, phi, but she's also my best friend. How could I stay apart from her?" Jennie smiled.

"Did you call her?" Freen asked.

"Yes, phi, she's on the way," Jennie replied, and soon enough, Becky arrived.

Becky hugged Jennie tightly but held back from hugging Freen since Freen's mom was present.

Becky and Freen exchanged a smile, their eyes communicating what words couldn't.

"Mom, I'll be going now. And don't let your husband scold my sister too much, okay?" Jennie said, hugging Freen's mom.

Even though Jennie was Mr. Chankimha's niece, Freen's mom treated her like her own daughter.

"Yes, my child. And Becky, take care of yourself," Freen's mom said kindly.

Becky smiled politely and nodded.

Jennie picked up her luggage from Becky, and the two headed to the departure area.

As Freen turned to leave, she was startled to see Laura standing nearby.

"Laura! What are you doing here?" Freen asked, surprised.

"I came to see Jennie off," Laura said, holding a bouquet of flowers.

"She already left," Freen said.

"Ugh, missed her again! I still haven't met her 'girlfriend,'" Laura replied, disappointed.

Freen raised her eyebrows. "She's not her girlfriend!"

"Alright, alright! Anyway, Freen, we received a reply from the university."

"Seriously?" Freen's face lit up with excitement.

"Yes, and your dad told me to proceed with the next steps."

Three Years Later

"Sarocha, wake up! Your phone is ringing," Sierra called, trying to rouse Freen.

"Just a few more minutes," Freen mumbled, pulling the blanket over her head.

"Sarocha, it's your dad!" Sierra added.

Freen shot up from bed instantly. Sierra laughed, shaking her head. "Really? You're 24, and you're still afraid of your dad?"

Freen grabbed the phone from Sierra and saw 54 missed calls.

She quickly called Jennie.

"Yes, Jennie, what's going on?" Freen asked groggily.

"Phi, don't tell me you forgot again," Jennie replied over the phone.

"Forgot what?" Freen rubbed her eyes and took a sip of coffee from the mug Sierra handed her.

"Phi, it's Becky's birthday! She's been waiting for your call since last night."

Freen, startled, spilled coffee on Sierra, who shot her an irritated look.

"Jennie, I went to a party last night and got home late," Freen tried to make an excuse.

"Phi, I already booked a flight for you and reserved a table for you both."

"But..." Freen hesitated, rubbing her neck.

"Phi, please—it's her birthday!" Jennie pleaded.

Sierra took the phone from Freen. "I'll make sure she goes, Jennie. Don't worry."

Sierra gave Freen a stern look, and Freen knew there was no getting out of it.
