CHAPTER FORTY-FOUR
SCARLETT
Azalea had arranged transportation for me when I got to Australia and had only told their dad that I was joining them in Australia. She wanted us to surprise Kai.
I had three men guarding me. One of them carried my suitcase and smaller travelling bag, the second guarded and guided me from the front whilst the third guarded me from behind.
We had landed on the rooftop of one of the diamond high-rise buildings. According to Azalea, it would be afternoon in Sydney, and Kai would be at work, which he was. Mr Diamond had asked one of his men to guide me to Kai's office, which was on the top floor with the rest of the family. It always slapped me in the face when I saw how posh and important my boyfriend was.
"We are here, ma'am."
We stood outside a black door with 'Kai Diamond' boldly written behind it. He did not have his position attached to his name because he did not have a position yet. The only reason he had his own office was because he was the owners son, but he did do very important work in the company, I just didn't know what it was.
"Thank you." I replied.
He continued down the hall with the three guards I had arrived with. Their only job was to make sure that I was safe and taken care of, but I had negotiated with Cole that they should be invisible unless I needed them.
I breathed out and shook my hands to calm my nerves before stretching my hand to knock.
The door immediately flew open to reveal Kai dressed in a dark blue suit which complimented his blue eyes.
'Wow' I thought.
He quickly pulled me into a kiss and I melted against him. My arms wrapped around his waist immediately and his gripped my head gently. He continued to kiss me as he moved us to his office and shut the door. He trapped me against the door and continued to dominate my lips with his until we both ran out of breath.
"I saw you on the cameras when you arrived. What are you doing here?" He breathed against my lips.
I tilted my head and smiled.
"Dumb question" He chuckled.
We continued to stare at each other for a few more minutes. I watched him, trying to read his expression, but as usual, he was not showing any substantial emotions. I could only sense his relief.
"I missed you." He said.
"I m-missed y- you too."
My lips were claimed by his one more time in another heated kiss, and then he led us to his desk where he sat and pulled me unto his laps, so that I was straddling him.
His arms circled my waist as he buried his face in my neck.
"Your ass is going to be so red when I'm done with you."
"I know, b-but I spoke back at you for a reason."
"Oh, I'm not even talking about that. I heard that you said that I don't love you and that I only want a puppet."
