Mayra's POV
I heard someone conversing with another, and another, and another... The voices are familiar...

As my sense of hearing slowly cleared, I could hear my brother's voice, even Dad's and Tita Friar's voices.

"We should continue investigating about that woman. Kailangan nating makahanap ng lead para matunton natin kung sino man siya," Tita Friar said.

I forced myself to move—Wait, I can't move! As of this moment, I realized I can't see anything. Wait, what happened to me?

"Mayra was shocked when she saw the woman in Chinese dress, Tita. She must know something about that woman," Mare said.

"Hindi pa tayo sigurado diyan, hijo. For now, bantayan mo muna ang kapatid mo. I'll be having an investigation with your Father and the other High Reapers. Ikaw na bahala kay Mayra. Call us when she wakes up," I heard Tita Fri ordered someone.

At that time, my eyes slowly opened and I turned to look at Mare who is looking at the closing door. When it was closed by Tita Fri, Mare looked at me and his eyes slowly widened in shock.

"M-Mayra..." I looked at him with blank eyes. He goes towards me and suddenly pulled me in a hug which made my eyes widen in surprise. "Salamat naman that you're fine."

"Mare..."

He pulls off and looked at me in the eyes, worry visible in it. "I'm so sorry. That woman... She would pay for this... She threatened you..."

I looked down. If only Mare knows... "Mare," I called out to him.

"Mayra, please, don't move. Baka 'di pa ayos ang—"

"I'm fine. I just... wanted to tell you something about Mama."

He frowned. "Huh? Mayra, you fainted and you'll talk about our Mama again? Besides, Mama didn't come to the party as you predicted it to be."

"She did come," I whispered, a whisper that is enough to hear by my twin brother.

His nose crunched even more as he looked at me with confusion. "What do you mean by that, Mayra?"

"The Fox Lady... She is Mama, Mare," I said and looked at him seriously. I saw his crunched face drowned in an endless pit of surprise.

He, then, laughed sarcastically in front of me as he walked backward. "Mayra... You're joking, right?"

I gave him a dumbfounded look. "Does it? Did it look like that I'm saying a damn joke to you?" I sighed. "Mare, I'm taking this seriously. The Mama we know... She is a new member of Olivia's organization."

"Ano bang pinagsasabi mo ha? Mama wouldn't take Olivia's offer just to save us all from that wicked witch's hands."

"That's not the reason, Mare."

"Eh, ano?" he asked with a little bit of irritation. "What is still the reason why Mama has to be in there? It is unbelievable, Mayra!"

"I know it is unbelievable enough to believe but I don't know yet. The one I could be assured of is that... Mama... She is plotting something. Tito Rux could handle her well though."

"Huh? And why does Tito Rux get involved in our conversation?"

"Si Tito Rux... He's part of Olivia's organization," I answered, making Mare's lips gape in surprise.

"WHAT?! Bakit mo hindi agad sinabi sa akin?"

"It is for personal purposes and also, Mama knew about it but she still trusted Tito. Alam mo naman si Tito, he is like a pudding when it comes to Mama."
