Mavis woke up really early in the morning to make some breakfast for her kids and to sprint her time to go to work. Pumunta siya ng kusina para ipaghanda ang mga bata ng makakain. Pagkatapos niyon ay bumalik siya ng kuwarto para maligo na at mag-ayos na ng sarili.

After that, she went to the twins' room and kissed both of their foreheads before heading to work. She called Ruxinaire and told him to drive her to the company.

"It is four a.m., Mavis. Why so early?" Ruxinaire asked her.

"My boss called me this early in the morning. Ayoko mang gumising ng umaga pero sabi niya importante daw ang sasabihin niya sa akin," sabi ni Mavis dito. "Be ready. If you will not be here in 40 minutes, I will walk to the company." Then, she ended the call.

Forty minutes later, may biglang humintong sasakyan sa tapat ni Mavis. She smiled when she saw the man. Sumakay na siya ng kotse at sinimulan na ni Ruxinaire ang kotse.

When they get there, Mavis got out of the car and says 'thank you' to Ruxinaire before leaving the car in its place. Pumasok siya sa building at binati ang mga employees roon at dumiretso ng elevator. She steps out of the elevator once she got to the right floor and head to the secretary's desk.

"Anong maipaglilingkod ko sa inyo?" tanong ng sekretarya.

Ngumiti si Mavis saka sabing, "I have an appointment with the boss."

Malu smiled and put a clipboard and ballpen in front of me. I sign to it before she said, "Okay. Pwede ka ng pumasok, Ate Mav."

Ngumiti muli si Mavis sa kanya bago mag-proceed sa opisina ng kanyang boss. It was that smell again. Nakapasok na si Mavis sa opisina ng kanyang boss.

"Oh, Mavis. You are here," anunsyo ng kanyang boss.

Tumango si Mavis. "Good morning, Sir," bati niya at saka umupo sa guest chair. "Why did you call me this early, Sir? Is there anything wrong in the editing section, Sir?"

"No, no, no, no. I just wanted to tell something," sab ng kanyang boss at may inilabas na folder. He slided it towards Mavis. "I want you to resign as the editor-in-chief of our company."

Nanlaki ang mga mat ani Mavis sa sinabi ng kanyang boss. "S-Sir? Why?"

" 'Cause you need a better job," pagrarason ng kanyang boss. "You see, there's this one company that offers a huge salary to an employee and I think you know what company it is."

I frowned in confusion. "But, sir, I love my position here. What position could they offer to me as the same as my job here in your company?"

"You will become the P.A. of the boss there and the huge salary that the employees received was being doubled when you became his P.A. It is much larger than the salary of a secretary. It will help your family."

"Sir, how much?"

"$1,000,000," sagot nito.

"No, sir, I could not quit this job. If their salary is good, then it's fine, but I love it here, sir. Your company's salary is okay for me and my family. Please, don't let me resign from your company."

"But I already told the CEO that he will meet you right after I make you resign from my company," sabi nito at nag-wink sa kanya. "Good luck."

Napabuntong-hininga si Mavis. "I guess I can't do anything about it." Tumayo si Mavis at yumuko. "Thank you, boss, for everything."

"Here," sabi ng kanyang boss at may iniabot sa kanyang maliit na papel. Kinuha niya naman ito. "That's the address of the company I want you to be."
