Flare's POV
"What?!" Friar's hand slammed heavily on my desk. "Are you really lovesick right now, Flare?! Are you insane?!"

"No, I'm not," I answered and looked at her. "I'm just following my love and our kids."

"Oh, come on, brother." She rolled her eyes. She puts one hand on her hips and raised an eyebrow. "You looked like an obsessed man. What if Mavis called the police, huh? Mavis is having the time of her life right now. She's living happily now. If you keep on doing this, our company will be in danger! You will be in danger!"

"I don't care." I gritted my teeth. "What's important is her and our kids."

"What's important in life is money, Flare," she shouted. She sighed. "Look, ayokong makipag-away sa'yo but can't you just please stop this? Kung si Mavis ang nasa harapan mo ngayon, siguradong sasabihan ka niyang huwag ka ng sumunod sa kanila. And money isn't just the important thing. Your life is more important than this. 'Wag mo ng ipilit ang sarili mo ang sarili mo sa kanila."

"Wow, I don't know that my sister is a Mavis' protector now," I said with sarcasm and clicked my tongue. "How rude it is to tell your own brother to tell your brother to stay away from his true love."

"Oh, it's not rude, it's called telling you to move on." She crossed her arms. "You know, Flare? Alam kong gusto mong ibalik si Mavis sa puwesto niya pero hindi ang ibig sabihin no'n ay gagawin mo na ang lahat para makuha siya ng tuluyan. Na halos nagmumukha ka ng desperado na ibalik siya. Hindi 'yan gagana. Magsasayang ka lang ng oras."

"So, what will I gonna do? Hindi gumalaw? If I don't move, Ruxinaire will make a move on her and he will take her away from me."

Friar frowned. "No way Ruxinaire would do that."

"Oh, he will and I know it. The way he looks at Mavis is shocking. He has the same eyes I have when I looked at Mavis before. Even now, I still look at her that way. So lovingly. So tender. So precious that she is the most special thing in my sight. Never thought that Mavis' best friend will also look at her that way." I heard Friar scoffed as she rolled her eyes. I felt irritated by the way she acts. "What?"

"I mean, it's not possible na sila ang magkatuluyan. Total naman magkasama naman sila palagi noong iniwan ka ni Mavis. Ten years of you not being on Mavis' side is a sign of possibility na mayroong mabubuo sa kanilang pagmamahalan."

I glared at her. If she isn't my sister, I would've killed her right now without remorse in front of my office and pulled her head off her body.

"Don't look at me like you are killing me in your mind, Flare," I heard her say. Her face scrunched in disgust. "That's awful."

"If you aren't my sister, I would've killed you by just lecturing me."

She rolled her eyes. "Well, as if you could kill me."

I smirked. "Sure, I did if you're not just my sister."

"Seeing red right now?"

I shrugged my shoulders and leaned into my office chair. "Well, kind of."

She smirked. "You're really a jerk in love, brother."

I grinned. "I think I kind of am."

Friar shook her head and turned her back on me. She glanced at me by her shoulder and smiled. "I'm gonna get going now. Siguradong hinahanap na ako sa amin. My son might have to search for me."

"Give my hello to Frius," I said as I stood up and walk towards her.

She smiled. "Sure. I will." I hugged her before she waved goodbye to me and left the office's door.
