My my my.

I never knew the Chicago Annual Math Competition would be this big.

As soon as I arrived on the Kerrington Hall, one of the biggest hall in the city, I was out of words from my mouth. It's not just big. The crowds are also uncountable. I'm overwhelmed by how much people have been working hard on this. I start to assume that this match will be broadcasted in the local channel.

Harry was right. This is some serious shit.

The hall itself consist of two parts, the seats and the stages. Of course there are other room such as the backstage, janitor room, toilet room, and others. I just pointed where we're going to take this competition will be done.

The seats for the audiences were almost fully occupied, to which caught me by surprise. Little did I know there are a lot of people interested in watching teenager like us answering shitload questions from the
"Avery. You don't have to be panic."

My head turned to face Diana, who surprisingly calm about the whole thing. She's leaning on one of the chair behind me. I'm surprised on how she handle this thing but at the same time I'm not because she sure as hell have prepared for this day a long long time ago.

I'm pacing back and forth in front of her, grabbing and flipping my phone before I decided to finally use it instead of doing useless things. I need Clara.

Clara. Please. Come here or somethin.

The competition will begin a half an hour after this so I don't have a lot of option other than calling this girl to calm me down.

"You've reached the voicemail of - "

"Damn it Clara! Don't ever play this card on me."

A hand suddenly dropped on my shoulder, making me winced. "Calm down."

Diana's attempts might work to calm me down but it doesn't last long. I'm scared if I screwed up the team.

Oh hi. Miss me? Should've regret on putting creams on your best friend's face while sleeping aren't ya.

Clara's text finally came three minutes after. Crap. She still mad at me about the prank things.

I replied, almost too instantly.

OH MY GOD CLARA WHY DON'T YOU JUST GRAB YOUR ASS HERE.

She doesn't reply but I know she has already make her way here. Or not. Fuck. I would've called Harry, unfortunately he's working so I told him I'm going to be fine. Which is the exact opposite.

Someone tapped my shoulder. "Yo Jerry."

"Jerry?" I turned around.

"That's your name right? Jerry?" he asked.

"God no. I'm Avery. Seriously you don't even know my name, Travis?"

Travis, one of our team, just shrugged. "The match's starting in 5. Let's go."

I nod and start to follow him in pursuit.

"Where's Ana?" My eyes traveled around after I gather with my lovely lil group. Travis put on his confused look.

"Diana." I corrected.

"She's having a wee," one of the boys said whose name I don't remember. I frowned.

Diana's taking a wee? But she supposed to be here at this very moment!

"Travis, Diana should be here any seconds by now."

"Give it time, she'll come around."

I nod, still fiddling with my fingers. The moment our school was called to enter the stage, I began to have a panic attack. Now where the fuckin hell is that girl?
