We pull up in our school's parking lot not long after. I get so excited showing Harry my favorite place in the entire world, the only place I know and now I'm going to show it to him. I had no doubts about this. I trust Harry with all my might.

"Come on!"

"Okay where the heck are we going Ave? It's dark. Not to mention how cold it is right now."

I stop in my tracks and wink my eyes playfully.

"Some place shady."

Harry's face drained, it was a matter of second until he gets the hint. "You're a bad girl, Avery."

I laughed and finally we come to our destination.

"This is.."

"My secret hideout, yes."

"Who knows about-"

"I'm the only one who knows. And now.. you."

His eyes light up and he grins. He absentmindedly takes my hand. Not that I protest about it. "Is this the way you forgive me now? By believing me?"

I bit on my lip. Am I ready to forgive him? I'm not one to hold grudge. And I don't want to ruin this night.

"Yes."

"Finally! God, thank you so much Avery. I lo-"

"Don't," I close my eyes. "Don't finish that word."

I can see the disappointment on his face. It's obvious. But it's too soon for me. I'm not going to be ready to hear it coming from his mouth again.

"Let's get in! I think there's an old mattress and warm blankets inside."

I don't want to release my hand from his. Instead, I feel his hand tighten around mine. The old wooden house isn't spacious but there's still an old fireplace so we light it up. It's dark and the only lights that surround us are from the fireplace. After the mattress and blankets are set, we sit and open our pizza.

"Pepperoni with cheese. You ordered my favorite, didn't you?" I smile when we open the box.

"What, you want the mushroom ones instead?" He teased, knowing I'd never liked mushrooms at all.

"Ew, no. I'm so hungry I totally gonna eat all of these. You take one slice, and the rest are mine."

"No fair!"

"Fine, we divide it half."

We eat while laughing, he keeps making jokes that aren't funny but somehow it made us laugh. Everyone knows his jokes are the worst.

"So. What happened at the club?" He asks, opening a subject while opening his soda can.

"Clara just hit a man's head with a wine bottle," I say nonchalantly.

Harry almost choke on his drink. "She what?"

"You heard me."

I finish my pizza and close the box.

"Why are you acting like it's not a big deal?" Harry crease his eyebrows.

I stopped. "The man.. was about to do something to me."

Harry is startled, of course. Without thinking much he asks again. "But you're okay right? One hundred percent okay? I swear to God, Nate-"

"I'm fine, Harry."

"Thank God," he hugs me again.

"You know you hug me a lot today," I smile changing the subject.
