Now it gets strange and stranger every single day. Clara has been ignoring all my texts and calls for the past week. I've never met her in school anymore. It almost feels like she doesn't want to meet me.
I tried to go to her class before lunch to catch her up but there's no signs of her in her class. So I assume she ditched her classes. She's so careless. The exam is in front of our faces but she still doesn't care about her grades.
But I shouldn't be worried about her. Her parents provided her craploads of money. Which means she will get her dream college in New York with fashion as her major, and that's guaranteed.
Still, there must be a reason why she's avoiding me. And I'm sure as hell it's not because Nate and I pranked her when she slept with putting creams on her hand so when she woke up, the creams were all over her face when we were at my house and she drunkly slept in Harry's lap.
Due to I don't have friends in school, I've been hanging out with Nate a lot. Turns out he wasn't that much of a dick inside. Although I still don't like him snogging every pretty blondes he knows whenever we were walking down the hall.
It's gross you know. Him pushing the girl against someone's locker and their lips starts to trail every inch of each other mouth in a matter of seconds. It's like he's ready to fuck them there and there.
And what bothers me everytime I met him is that he always beg for practicing the kissing scene on our drama plays.
"Nate, stop," I pushed his face from my shoulder. I've been getting a bunch of death glares from the girls that have crush with him and it's uncomfortable.
"I still don't understand why!" He groaned. "I bet every girl in this school wants to be in your position."
"Uh-huh, really?" Suddenly I tap a short-haired girl with dark makeups and she turned to us with her treathening looks.
"Excuse me. Do you think you wanna fuck this guy?"
She scoffed loudly. "Hell no."
My head snapped to Nate proudly, with his jaw dropped. He didn't know that was coming. I figured he has never been rejected by a girl before so he needs some lessons.
"Ha! Bet you didn't expect that," I smack his arm playfully.
"You are a horrible person."
I laughed at him as we walk through the hall to the theater. We're not going to rehearse anymore, since the exam is coming up. After the exam ends, there will be a winter formal, where we'll perform the drama straight, then a party before the winter break starts.
Madam Rosie told us a few things before we went out from the meeting. The property and the stage have been all set up. The costumes are packed neatly. And all the students here can't wait to perform the drama. Well, except me.
Being a princess isn't easy. You have to be perfect every single damn time. It's not just what you wear, but it's also what you do. When you move even in slightest bit, people will notice. They adore you. That's why you need to be graceful within every moves you do.
At first, I was ecstatic to know I got the princess role. But as the time went on, I'm starting to regret my decision. It's tiring.
"Nathaniel."
Nate and I, who sit side by side, turned our head around. I was surprised, but him on the other hand, grin at her happily. "Hi, Caty."
She winked at him seductively. "Avery,"
"What do you want now?"
"Nothing. Just wanna tell you guys my boyfriend is going to be back on this drama," she shrugged.
