"What do you think?" I turned to look at Clara, who asked for my opinion on the outfit she just picked.
"Perfect, but make it orange." Nate commented while eating some popcorn. He put his elbow on my shoulder conviniently.
"Really, Nate? You're no help." Clara rolled her eyes and start browsing the racks again. The outfit she just showed us must be her one hundred selection. The idea of integrating me and Nate to go out shopping is a disaster. First I'm not very fond to know his presence. And second; we're a total airhead on fashion.
I frowned. "Aren't you not allowed to eat in a store, Alter?"
"Who cares?"
"That woman behind the counter cares. She has been inspecting you for the last ten minutes." Pointing at the woman, I fold my arms to Nate.
He stares at me with challenging smirk. It took me 2 seconds to realize that he's planning to make this girl fell under his spell. I shook my head.
"Come on, she's like 25 or something!"
"She looks young. Relax, I just want to get her number." He chuckled and rubbing the top of my head childishly. "Don't be jealous like that, babe."
I gaped as I slapped his hand away. "What the hell? Babe?"
I furrowed my brows as I watched him and the girl having a conversation from afar. She was hesitant at first and interrogating him while pointing at the popcorn in Nate's hand but she ended up blushing and put her shyly smile. Surprisingly, that girl scrutinizing me with an unpleasant look.
I groaned in disgust. She fell for that guy too?
Nate finally pulled away and waves a paper that seemed written with the girl's number to me as he smirked. He walked back to my direction. I avert my eyes to Clara. She still busy messing up the clothes that hanging on the rack.
"Clara, are you done yet? I'm struggling to restrain my vomit from watching your cousin spreading charms everywhere." I said in the most complaining tone I could muster.
"You'll get used to it." She patted my shoulder lightly and walking towards the cashier counter.
Bad call. She's going to meet the Nate's victim girl.
Okay, I'm just gonna go outside..
"Ave, what's going on with you and the cashier girl? She said that you are a bitch for liking the guy he met. Who is this guy she's blabbering about?"
I swear I only met Nate one day ago and he gives me one instant ride of hell.
"It was Nate! How come you didn't realize? This was his work!" I answered in frustation.
"Where's Nate anyway?" She asked, looking around. Her eyes trailing everywhere.
"I can't afford meeting Nate again." I sighed. Clara seemed don't care about my misery because Nate's missing. "Oh come on he's 18. He can do anything he wants." I crossed my arms, starting to get annoyed by her disregard.
She turned and narrowing her eyes to me. "Not because of that. He promised to cook dinner for tonight. I don't want ended up cooking myself and seeing him eating my food without efforts."
I took a glance to my watch. I startled, it's almost 8. My mum wants me to come early to have a dinner with Roy. She's not strict, but I don't want to disappoint them both by postponing the dinner. I bid goodbye to Clara and heading to the exit of the mall.
