Taehyung and the girls were on a break and nibbled on whatever they wanted from the buffet that had been prepared for them.
He had preferred a simple juice for now as he pretended to have his attention on the words of his friend who was talking to him, while at the same time stealing glances towards Yumi and Irine, who were a bit further away and had struck up a conversation with the male model Yumi had been partnering with so far.
From what Taehyung noticed, the guy seemed very interested in Yumi but he wasn't sure if Yumi was interested back. His half-sister had a charm in her personality after all and it was hard to tell if her playful behaviour was because she was interested or she just wanted to have a good time.
Of course, Yumi wasn't Taehyung's concern at the moment but he held her responsible for the fact that many males had gathered around them and started chatting with them both. Even Irine seemed to be enjoying the conversation, unfortunately.
She seemed to be talking to his co-workers normally and smiling and that for some reason bothered Taehyung. Why did she have to be awkward only with him and avoid him? It felt unfair.
He was definitely the one who wanted her attention more than anyone else at that place after all. But alas, nothing.
Even during the photo shoot, her eyes never met his. Even when they were face to face, she would look somewhere between his eyebrows or just below his eyes, just barely enough to keep their gazes from meeting.
Truth be told, he knew something like that would happen since after the scene in the bathroom her embarrassment was certain, yet again he didn't expect it to go to that extent.
"Excellent job you've done so far though. The photographer is still talking about you." His friend told Taehyung and he lowered his head a little shyly because the reason his expressions were so perfect today and the photographer was blown away by his good work was not because he was more focused than usual but it was simply because he didn't need to pretend to display the passion and attraction the photographer was looking for between them as he and Irine had to express the tango.
The expressions he pulled weren't acting but he certainly had gotten surprised when it came to Irine who, although she didn't meet his gaze for even a moment, from what the photographer said, she also showed very good facial expressions.
Only if he knew that he was not the only one surprised since Irine herself wasn't far from that. Mostly due to the fact that the expressions she managed to make were because of him.
As the minutes passed, an intense atmosphere had built up between her and Taehyung and it was hard to ignore it. Whether she liked it or not, she knew that she had contributed to its creation.
Her heart had begun to soar as she was under his intense gaze and his body was closer to her than it had ever been. Her embarrassment was sky-high, so much so that she couldn't even bring herself to meet his eyes.
When the photographer had asked for a break, she had never felt more relieved, as she could escape this intense situation but unfortunately even now that she was no longer in this close proximity to him, and her back was turned towards him so she couldn't see him, her insides didn't seem to be reassured.
"So dancing huh, that explains your beautiful body." The young man in front of her gave her a compliment and Irine gave him a small smile not knowing exactly how to answer him, but her silence didn't stop him from continuing to talk and strike up a conversation while his eyes would travel up and down her body any chance he got.
A fact that Taehyung had noticed, unlike Irine who was just talking to him as friendly as she could.
The young man's hand had found its way to her shoulder a couple of times making Taehyung bite down on the straw of juice he had before him for a few minutes without even noticing himself his own actions.
