Jimin finally found himself standing behind the door of his girlfriend's apartment. He had landed in New York just an hour ago, feeling tired and sleepy but he had rejoiced once he found a taxi and hoped in it, looking forward to meeting the woman he had been dating for years now from a long distance.
The thought of seeing her face up close and being able to touch her again had made his mind wander in the clouds with excitement and had placed a permanent smile on his lips as he pulled out the key to her apartment since he had a copy of it.
It was his after all, he was the one that had rented it in documents and paid for it every month along with the electricity and water bill.
He made his way inside carefully, as it was around 4 PM and he knew that usually at this day at such an hour she occupies herself with studies. In his mind, he was imagining her by her desk, buried in her books while having her cute golden-framed glasses on.
Jimin left his backpack by the side once he arrived at the corner and the living room was stretching ahead in his view. He took his shoes off and left them by the door then he proceeded to go look for her with light steps.
As he walked further though, laughing noises fell to his notice, making him guess that maybe she was on a call. He followed the sound and reached the door of the bedroom where he opened it without thinking much, only to come face to face with a view that left him stunned in place.
There his girlfriend was, on her undergarments, standing under a dude he had never seen before, also on his undergarments. His hands were all over her body. The couple had also froze upon his intrusion and her facial expression showed clearly how equally shocked Jimin's girlfriend was. For a different reason than his, however.
"What the heck? How did this stranger get in our house?" The man that was on top of her uttered, looking utterly confused while she just quickly pushed him off of her and rushed to get a robe to cover herself while murmuring Jimin's name.
"It's not what it looks like" She ended up saying as she finally made her way before his still figure.
"Really? Cause I am pretty sure it's exactly how it looks like." He snapped out of it, ignoring the chaos in his mind and the ache that had been set aflame in his chest.
"You were cheating on me? That's what it was? That's why you needed more money? To keep getting this dude on dates?" He snapped at her, as his palm rested on his forehead, realizing how stupid he had been. How blinded by the love he had for her. How foolish that he never even allowed his mind to think she would do something like that to him, simply because he never would have done it to her.
"No, no, it's not like that. This guy is just no one. He isn't important to me. He doesn't matter like you matter. " Sienna brought her hands to rest on Jimin's chest as she looked at him with soft eyes. "I just was missing you too much, I got lonely. I was thinking of you every time. I swear."
"What? What are you talking about? I am your boyfriend. We have been dating for a year now." That unknown guy uttered, feeling wronged by his girl and confused by the things he was hearing. All this time he had thought he was the only one in her life.
"You are making me sick!" Jimin shoved her away and turned to leave with quick steps and she followed behind him, calling his name repeatedly.
"Jimin, Jimin, Jimin please listen to me. Jimin"
"We are over! You better gather your things and get out of my house and take that stupid ass dude with you!" He turned around and ordered her coldly and she just looked at him for a bit before she started laughing, catching Jimin off guard.
"Oh Jimin, you can't do that to me, baby." She uttered as she walked closer and let her hand cup his cheek. " I didn't want things to end up this way for us. We have known each other since high school after all. You have been such a great boyfriend in all ways. But you leave me no choice"
"What the heck are you talking about?" Jimin grabbed her wrist and pulled her hand away, glaring daggers at her as he was repelled and angry.
"You can't throw me out. Nor you can stop paying for my tuition fees. Because if you do, I will go and reveal to your brother Jungkook that despite what I and my friends did to him, you still believe me and kept dating me ever since" Sienna's words made Jimin's face fall instantly as old times flashed in his mind.
The reason why Jungkook was so afraid of showing his body in front of people. Sienna used to have a girl best friend who liked Jungkook. Since Jimin and Sienna were dating back then, she had asked Jimin to help her friend go on a date with Jungkook. And he had done so.
Jungkook had fallen in love with that girl, and they dated for some months. She started asking him to take their relationship to the next level and lured him to an abandoned classroom at a part of the school that was rarely frequented by students.
Without Jungkook's knowledge, she had her friends ready that day and were filming their interaction while hidden. Jungkook started getting self-conscious though after a bit when the time came to basically start removing clothes and he wanted to back out of it, but the girl kept insisting on taking off his shirt and before he could realize it, more girls had appeared out of nowhere with cameras filming him and were forcibly taking off his clothes and touching him.
He had managed to overpower them and escape but certainly, that moment had left a very bad imprint on Jungkook's mind. And he had gone to Jimin and told him everything. He had even told him that his girlfriend Sienna was into this too but Jimin had not believed his girlfriend would do such a thing to his brother at that.
Jungkook had cut ties with that girl, he even moved schools and he had made Jimin cut ties too and break up with his girlfriend. Or so Jimin had told him that he had. Because that's what he should have done if he believed him, but he hadn't.
"You...you really were involved in that?" He asked her, looking terrified at the thought and only that he truly had made such a big mistake.
"It was my idea to begin with. He was athletic and everyone kept praising him that he was good at everything. I was just curious, if he had anything worth praising down there too" She admitted with a smile, making Jimin push her away and turn to look at the side as he couldn't even bear to look at her at that moment.
"Agh I feel like vomiting. " He uttered as her words had truly made him feel sick to his stomach and guilty beyond words.
"Now you know, so if you want go ahead and stop giving me money, but that will cost you your relationship with your brother. Because we both know ain't no way he is gonna forgive you for this. " She raised her chin confidently, as she knew she got him where she needed him and Jimin looked back at her, with a gaze full of pain.
He knew she was right, Jungkook would have every right to never forgive him. He had been so stupid, thinking that this girl ever loved him the way he loved her. He felt so lost and hurt and like an idiot that even if he was to forgive him, there was no way he could ever forgive himself.
"I don't care about the money. I never did. If that's what you want, you can keep them. Just never show your face before my eyes again. And never dare to mention that we ever were together " He warned her right before he turned and grabbed his backpack and took his shoes with him, stepping out of the door and closing it behind him.
Once in the corridor, he let a shaky breath, as his shoes fell to the floor, and he tried to put them on, while supporting himself on the wall because his head was spinning, and his chest was tight. He felt like someone was cutting on his breath and his world had turned upside down.
