SoYi and Jimin had been in the car for a few minutes with Jimin driving while the two of them had gotten into a conversation about course material.
Jimin's words interested SoYi as it would certainly do her good to know a little more and have an idea of how the second year was shaping up.
"Wow! You really mean this? You're going into surgeries as interns?" She uttered in that amazing update that in the second year if you aced it, you were allowed to take the practical course earlier than the others.
"Sure, I've naturally entered in since my first year. Now I'm practising and studying hard with a view to being assigned my own surgery to people from the beginning of the third year, hopefully." Jimin expressed his expectations which covered why he spends so much time in his home lab as she had heard.
"Oh, this is crazy. You must have a lot of time working, even before school. "SoYi expressed as it was unheard of to let a first-year take part in surgery unless he was some kind of genius in the field that is, which she didn't have him capable of being, truth be told.
"Yes, medicine has been a passion of mine since I was five. At seven I started taking classes more focused on that part and so I developed quite a bit." He explained simply as his eyes remained on the road and SoYi fell silent, a flame of jealousy igniting in her for the fact that he had money to do something like this.
" Αh! For the final project, what are you going to do? Do you want me to be your supervisor? " Jimin asked her, making her panic momentarily.
The final project was something her teachers had seen her briefed on and she knew its high importance. Every first-year student in the school was going to be reviewed by a second-year supervisor and critique their project. Something like a senior advisor who was tasked with checking the work and guiding the freshman on the right path to do that work. The thing however was, from what she knew, that who would be assigned to enforce you was something that would be decided randomly by the teachers, which was why Jimin's question didn't make sense.
"What do you mean? Isn't that a random decision?" SoYi didn't hesitate to ask and Jimin just laughed for a moment before answering her.
"Trust me, I can arrange it. Just let me know if you want to."
"I'm sorry, it's best to leave it to luck. I wouldn't want to feel bad about picking a supervisor who might not do his job because he knows me personally." SoYi declined without much thought and Jimin was both surprised and slightly offended that she thought he wouldn't take something like that seriously enough just because they knew each other.
"Fine then. I wish you good luck to whoever you fall with. " He smiled at her as he spoke to her, while his mind had already been made up over who would be the one that will get assigned to her.
---In the meantime---
Roel and Yoongi walked silently through the halls of the school, a little awkward over the fact that they had come together.
Roel was used to being alone until she stepped into her classroom, and Yoongi was definitely not used to having someone next to him with whom he had to constantly think of what to say to keep a conversation alive.
From what he'd noticed so far, Roel when she was with her sisters seemed very talkative and he expected her to talk non-stop about anything but unfortunately, she hadn't said a word either after the two of them had gotten into his car and even now that they were out.
"Um...I should go this way...have a good lesson." Yoongi awkwardly caught her attention once she stopped at a corner where the corridor she was supposed to follow stretched out.
"Oh. Okay then. You too." Roel gave him a smile before continuing on her way and he stood there looking at her for a moment before turning to leave.
I guess, I'm as bad as I used to be at Socialization.
---change of set---
Jungkook had just gotten to the end of the pool having done his third lap, since his practice had been cancelled for the day, much to his surprise and dismay.
So home as he was left, alone as everyone else had left, he had decided to practice on his own a little more than the daily routine.
He had finished with the rest of the exercises at the gym which he had visited after he had gotten out of the pool which he ended up in again after spending four hours in the gym and now he got out of it and grabbed his towel, wiping himself off well before setting it aside again and leaving for the kitchen.
Since he was alone he had no reason to be afraid of anything happening to him like it had in the morning, so he entered the kitchen in his bathing suit and opened the fridge, grabbing some juice and gulping it down before he started to prepare something healthy for himself.
The act took him a few minutes which he filled with little melodies that left his lips careless until he finally began to eat with pleasure.
However, he had almost finished his plate when the bell rang, and brought that pleasure to a pause, causing him to get up and run to the closet by the door and put on his jacket to cover the upper part of his body that had been exposed so far.
He cleared his throat just before opening it, confronted by a delivery guy and a large box at his side.
"Mr Jeon Jungkook? " The man in front of him asked him and he wondered for a moment before answering in the affirmative, thinking it must be a gift from a fan since the courier used the surname he introduced himself to within the sports industry.
"This is for you. Sign here please." Jungkook signed and then thanked the gentleman before taking the box inside and closing the door.
"Looks light" he commented as he walked up the stairs intending to take it to his room where he left it.
He looked at it for a moment in wonder and curiosity but decided not to open it just yet, as his plans for the day didn't include it.
First, let's take a shower, then we can return to this.
He thought to himself, determined to stick to his schedule.
---Change of set---
Hoseok was focused on some papers he was reading on his desk until the phone rang and caught his attention.
He grabbed it with a not very benign look since the phone call had come at an inopportune time but once he saw that it was his father, he hurriedly picked it up.
"Hello?" He picked up the line and fell silent as he heard his name come out of Mr Kim's mouth.
"I know you're at work and I'm disturbing you, but I hope you'll excuse me for a moment. I have something to discuss." His father jumped into the matter immediately and Hoseok reassured him that he was at his disposal.
"I know that it will be difficult for you to adjust to the changes and become familiar with each other, but as I told your big brother, I expect you to do your best to create comfortability and work on developing bonds and friendships between all of you. I would like to ask you to take charge of managing the family time so that you can leverage it for the best possible outcome. I trust you. "Mr. Kim spoke to him directly and Hoseok gave him his word that he would do what he could, though he still had no idea how.
Their phone call didn't last long after that, leaving Hoseok in thought, to which he didn't seem to be able to respond until he finally opened Google on his computer and started searching for ways that one could bond further with someone.
'How to get quality time with your family?' He typed and after the window opened with a list of suggestions, his eyes fell on an interesting one.
"Group games "
