Hey Krishna.
This day is supposed to be joyful. Why everything is messing up?"I told you to take this upstairs, Katyayani. Now Maa will be angry." I picked up the sindoor plate while scolding my younger cousin.
"Sorry, I forgot." She said while scrolling up her phone. Her big eyes turns doe at me and I huffed with frustration.
"Only if you throw that phone from your hand, you'd be able to remember the tasks given to you." I uttered while rushing upstairs. She was sitting by the huge fountain of Roy mansion. "Come upstairs, the sindoor khel will be started soon."
"Coming, Eva di." She didn't even bother to look up from her phone and I just ran upstairs to bring the sindoor plate to Maa and Debsmita Kaki.
I run while managing my lehenga flare, plate in the other hand and my hair strands tickling on my cheek. But I have no time for tie my hair up. I need to bring this plat to-
Before I can look up at the next step, I bumped on someone. I bumped on someone so tall. The sindoor plate in my hands tossed up while I lose my balance on the stairs.
I thought I'd fall behind but a firm hand held my wrist hard. While I understand what is happening, all the sindoor sprinkled on me. On my face, on my hair and on my white lehenga.
Lord Krishna.
This day couldn't get any worse. The firm hand on my wrist pulled me up and my palm slammed on his chest. My eyes were clenched close but all of the other senses were alert. I sensed a veil falling on me and someone who hold me in his arms.
A masculine scent of rosemary and spice filled my nose despite there was all the sindoor on me. Hard chest, tall body and hands firm has rock on the ground.
Who did I bump onto?
This is so embarrassing.I looked up at who it was and-
Brown eyes. Sand skin. Godly face.
Atharva?!My eyes filled with shock as well as anger when I saw his eyes. His eyes are the faintest shade of a brown. A shade of freshly boiling coffee, a shade of dried leaves and a shade of brown soil.
"Darling, are we going to stay like this all day?" A smirk appeared on his face. The vicious tone and a deep voice. "I mean, I wouldn't mind."
Atharva Roy!
I pushed him harshly and made my way upstairs after picking up the plate and never looked back.
.
.
I made it to the Pooja room. All the women was yet to play sindoor. Looks like I made it on time but-
Everyone gawked at me like I am the Durga Mata. Why wouldn't they gawk? I was all covered in sindoor. My hair was almost red and lehenga looked like it was never white.
