Have you ever been scared of happiness?
Happiness that lifts up your soul? Happiness that makes every pain looks tinier? Happiness that shatter your whole life if it disappears?
I am afraid of that happiness. I am afraid of being happy. I am afraid of getting used to how often do I smile nowadays. And I am afraid of losing that happiness in a blink of an eye.
I always believed that happiness walks parallel to sorrows. Nothing in this world remains constant. Pain or happiness, it changes. It flows with the river called life and it blows through the wind of time.
And now that I am feeling the extreme happiness, I couldn't help myself but to keep praying to Lord Krishna,
'Dear Krishna, take my life and take my soul for eternity but let me be happy in this life. Let my family Maa and Papa live the laugh, let my sisters have everything they want in their life. Let my brother be free from his past and let my other half know have the happiness he ever deserved.'
I said to my heart as my happy eyes kept watching Katyayani, Ishani, Amara and Atharva dancing in our terrace. Advik was playing harmonium while Aesha, Abhimanyu and me watched them from sitting in circle.
All of us kids came upstairs after dinner since Katyayani wanted to show what she practiced for Atharva and my Sangeet(An Indian wedding part where all people dance for Groom and Bride).
She was forcing all of us to take part in dance since she wanted our Sangeet to be the best in whole Rajasthan.
She even convinced Abhimanyu to be part of the Sangeet but it was going to be a surprise performance.
All of them look happy, excited and enthusiastic. If I could, I would have freeze this moment forever.
I am an old school girl, family is my priority over anything. And seeing them all happy is worth more than anything.
.
"Never knew you could play harmonium, Baby." Ishani paused her dance to go and kiss Advik's hair. He blushed with wide and gummy smile as Ishani adored him by pinches on his cheeks. "Where did you learn it?"
"Harmonium is as similar to Piano, Boo. Though harmonium has classical and more wavy sound, the keys of both are the same." Advik said as he kept flapping the harmonium. His soft hair always falling on his eyes and face always this cute.
"Did our dumbo just say something genius?" Atharva acted shock as he put his hand on Ishani's shoulder.
"Don't troll him, Atharva!" Ishani pulled Atharva's ear as he leaned to her height with scrunched brows. "Or else I'll beat you in front of your soon-to-be wife." She winked at me and I cracked a smile.
"Beat him. He indeed needs it." I chuckled knowing Atharva is that trouble maker kid who involves everyone in the trouble. Past few days, he has made everyone done bunch of things they have never done before.
