Love, Fate... Destiny.

I never believed it. But the thought of losing Evara shook me. It terrified me. It dried up every drop of blood in my body. The cool facade I had attempted in front of Evara, calling the words spoken by the pandit bullshit was all an attempt to convince myself first. That no such thing will happen.

If it is in my control. I will not let it get ruined.

"कर्म से भाग्य बदलता है" (Even Fate changes with Karma)

And I will not let anything happen to the fragile trust and love that was slowly blooming and growing between us.

I value it more than myself.
More than my ego.
More than my fates.

Our Love will not break when it has just started.

I keep looking at the sleeping figure on my bed.

Evara's under eyes were puffy from all the crying and pain that she had felt after overthinking about the words spoken by the pandit.

And seeing her hurt shred me into pieces. It burnt my soul from inside and gutted me whole. It felt like I was being constantly stabbed in the heart with an iron rod.

I kept looking at my girl.

That's right 'My Girl'.

In the present. In the future and forever.

I am harshly and brutally snapped out of my Reverie by a harsh knock on the bedroom door. I clear my throat quickly wiping away the unknown tear that had slipped while I was looking at Evara.

"Come in." I finally say while pulling on my t-shirt and standing up from the bedside end.

"Bhai...! You and Eva never came near the waterfalls did something-"

"If you so much as made my Di shed a single tear you are finished Atharva."  Amara's question is rudely interrupted by the new comer in the cottage.

Abhimanyu Acharya.

What the Hell was Evara's brother doing here?

The said boy glared at me and gripped onto me by my t-shirt's neckline. He spoke calmly. But his voice was sharp and crisp unlike his usual soulful and lost eyes. There was protectiveness and caution written in them.

I saw my sister brush past him and forcefully pull his hands off me. His hands falling back to his sides with a harsh jerk.

"You don't threaten my bhai or interrupt me while I am speaking. Assumptions are not always the best way to find the answer to anything. Moreover as you can see. Eva is fine and sleeping." Amara points and accusing finger at Abhimanyu. I frown at the passive aggressive personal remark my sister had just made. While Anhimanyu's jaw ticked.
