"I'm not listening to your sorry anymore. You know me, Princess. I won't give a damn if you kill a person and hide the body but I will take the world on my head if you skip your medicine." Bhai said while looking at me. The pain in his eyes outweighed the fury in his voice.

"Bhai..." I sighed as my head almost touched the floor in shame and guilt. I should have just taken the bloody medicines.

"When will you..."

"Don't raise your voice at her." Abhi interrupted bhai who looked at him with surprise and cocked a brow at him. Clearly displeased with the interference.

Evara looked at Abhimanyu surprised. Her eyes calculative and deep in thought.

"She said she's sorry. Now shut your mouth before she starts to cry."

"What?" Bhai's eyes widen as the wrath reflected in them.

My heart shuddered in horror.
No.

I feel myself tremble.
I can't handle it when people get angry around me. It brings back that day.

That day that stole so much from me.

There are certain things I hated...

Violence.
Arguments.
Fighting.

What I hated most of all was people raising their voice in my presence.

It annoyed me.
It frightened me.

I didn't like screaming.
Nor did I appreciate others in my immediate vicinity scream and raise their voice.

And witnessing Abhi and Bhai fight was something I hated. Because the reason of their fights more often than not happened to be me.

Abhimanyu didn't say a lot when Evara and Bhai acted all lovey-dovey now a days cause he told me that he saw his di happy.

After such a long time.

And I agree that seeing bhai happy and genuinely glowing with his usual charisma had my heart's wounds heal and find peace.

Evara identifies the omnipotent bloodlust in my brother and quickly leave her seat. Standing tall between Abhi and Bhai.

"Are you deaf or what?" Abhi uttered. "I said don't raise your voice at Amara and shut your mouth."

"Abhi!" I grudged as I finally tried to get a hold of my trembling heart. I pushed bhai back and stood in front of Abhi. My palm slide on his chest as I gently him back.

"Don't talk to Bhai in that tone." I tell him in a low tone yet my intentions in it was evident and clear.

I needed him to stop.
I need to know if my words hold any value in his life.

The three days spent with Abhimanyu as a couple was surreal. He acted softer than he ever had with me in his life. Excluding his childhood obviously. He didn't flinch when I called his name. Nor did his eyes seem distant.
