Chapter 22

She was lying so close to me on my bed. We both caught ourselves staring into each other's eyes as our fingers linked together. She looked at me with those dazzling eyes and I ran my thumb on her soft cheeks. "You are so beautiful". I complimented her to which she blushed and I laughed at her cuteness.

"And you are my handsome man". She said as she hovered over my body. I found it so arrousing as her body touched mine. Her soft fingers playing with my hairs. Slowly her fingers went down to my lips through tracing the bridge of my nose, making me even more weak. I leaned closer and kissed her lips.

As we were lying, a question popped in my mind. I realised that this was the best time to ask her.

"Ahh Melanie?". I called her name and she looked at me. "Hmm?". "Can I ask you something? But please don't say no". I asked. "What is it Noah?". She asked innocently. "I want to wake up by your side every morning. I want to hear you talk everyday. I want to hear your laugh so that I can survive my days, and all of this can only happen if you stay here... with me". I explained and sensed her slowly smiling at my words. "So what do you say, do you wanna move in with me?". I asked hopefully.

She caressed my face and kissed my forehead. "Yes, ofcourse Noah". She replied and I let out a deep breath. "But I have to do some work before we can stay together". I said as I got up from the couch. "What kind of work?". She asked.

"Well, I want us to be completely separated from the gangs so that they can no longer interfere in our lives. I know what I have to do". I said and she didn't ask any further questions. "I love you". "I love you too Melanie". I replied and we kissed one last time before I dropped her to her building obviously two blocks away.

End of Noah's POV

Meanwhile in a car outside Noah's apartment.....

Matt yawned and turned his head towards Stephan who was still asleep. He then glanced around to remember why they were here. He noticed that Noah's car wasn't there anymore. "Damn it!! Stephan... Stephan wake up man". He called and tried to wake Stephan up. "What is it Matt?". Stephan asked while rubbing his eyes.

"You call yourself a better member of our gang? Look what you've done". Matt spat. Stephan looked around and sighed when he realised. "Fuck... how can he be missed by us. We were here all the time". Stephan said as he pulled his hairs in anxiety. "Maybe because we were too busy sleeping. Oh come on man, we have wasted our time here". Matt punched the dash board of the car that made a loud voice.

"What do you mean wasted?". Stephan asked looking at Matt. "We don't know where he went and with whom. That is what we were supposed to check". Matt said and they both sighed. "Now move on start the car.. what are you waiting for?". Matt shouted. Stephan had enough of Matt's attitude, he abruptly held his collars, pulled him close and started shouting at him. "Who the hell do you think you are huh? Who gave you permission to talk to me that way". "Stephan stop! I'm sorry I got angry". Matt called and tried to break free.

Stephan loosened his grip before finally letting him go. "Don't ever raise your voice on me".

Stephan punched the steering wheel before driving away.

At the Sorties building

It was around 11:30 pm when Melanie entered her building. She went inside and found Daisy having a cup of coffee in the kitchen. "You're back". She said and put down her cup to confront Melanie. "This isn't going to work Melanie". She said as she crossed her arms against her chest. "What do you mean Daisy?". Melanie asked confusingly. "This! You coming late without letting us know that you are okay. Do you know how worried your dad was? When was the last time you checked your phone?". She asked.
