At Cafe Regina

Noah stared at the phone in his hands, his eyes heavy with guilt, lips pressed tightly together. "Noah, everything's going to be okay," Collin said, shaking him gently to bring him back to reality.

"I feel like a traitor, Collin. I treated her horribly. I was the only one she had, and I still pushed her away. I've committed an unforgivable sin," Noah said, his voice filled with sorrow. Collin knew how much Noah loved her. He knew that Noah had acted impulsively, driven by the heat of the moment.

"Noah, you didn't mean it. Don't be so hard on yourself. You just found out that Melanie's father killed Mr. Danny. Anyone would have overreacted," Collin tried to comfort him.

"I hurt her deeply, and now it's tearing me apart." Noah said, his tone filled with sadness

"You can always make it up to her," Collin said with a reassuring smile. "How?" Noah asked, a glimmer of hope in his voice.

"Start by reaching out to her. Apologize, sincerely. Show her that you regret your actions and that you're willing to make things right," Collin suggested. "Words alone won't be enough. You need to prove to her that you're serious about making amends."

Noah nodded slowly, considering Collin's advice. "But what if she doesn't want to hear from me? What if it's too late?"

"It's never too late if you truly love someone," Collin replied. "You have to fight for her. Show her that you're committed to being there for her, no matter what."

Noah took a deep breath, feeling a spark of determination. "You're right. I need to make this right. I can't let her slip away because of my mistakes."

"I know she'll accept your apology". Collin uttered making Noah smiled on his statement. "I hope so. Thank you Collin, you're the best". Noah said before they left the cafe.

Later that night...

Melanie stood by the railing, the cool night air brushing against her skin as she gazed out at the illuminated bridge spanning the tranquil waters

Melanie stood by the railing, the cool night air brushing against her skin as she gazed out at the illuminated bridge spanning the tranquil waters. The lights reflected off the surface, casting shimmering patterns that danced like ghosts of happier times. This was their place, hers and Noah's. They used to stand here, wrapped in each other's warmth, sharing dreams and whispers under the moonlit sky.

Melanie was lost in the hypnotic dance of the water's reflection when a familiar voice broke through her thoughts. "Melanie?"

Her heart raced as she turned to see Noah standing beside her. She instinctively backed away, the warnings from Duncan and Daisy echoing in her mind. "What are you doing here?" she asked, her voice trembling.

"I knew I'd find you here," Noah replied, stepping closer.

Melanie backed away again, fear gripping her. "Are you here to take your revenge, Noah?"

Noah shook his head, confused by her reaction. Tears began to stream down Melanie's face. "Are you here to avenge your father? If you are, then go ahead—hit me, kill me. Take your father's revenge, Noah. Do it."

"Melanie, why would I do that?" Noah asked, bewildered. He reached out, gently grasping her arms, trying to steady her. "Calm down, Melanie. Why would you even think that? I might be stupid, but I'm not heartless. I wouldn't take revenge on you, especially when you have nothing to do with it."

Melanie stared at him, her expression blank.

"I came here to apologize," Noah continued. "I'm sorry for how I treated you. I know I shouldn't have pushed you away or behaved the way I did. Please forgive me."

"Noah, it's not just about how you treated me. It's about the truth we learned. You did the right thing by pushing me away. We can never be together after this. It's my fault for coming into your life. I'm the reason you lost your father. I'm so sorry."

Noah cupped her cheeks, interrupting her. "It's not your fault, Melanie. You had nothing to do with what happened. Your father's actions don't reflect on you. I still love you, and that hasn't changed."

"But Noah—" she began, but he stopped her again.

"Shhh. Don't deny it. We both know it's not your fault. I love you, no matter what. I was stupid to treat you the way I did. Please forgive me."

Melanie smiled through her tears. "I forgive you, Noah."

Noah smiled back, their foreheads touching as they leaned into each other. "I love you so much, Noah. I'm sorry for leaving. I should have stayed and tried to work things out."

"I love you too, sweetheart. And if you had stayed, we wouldn't have had this moment here, at our favorite spot."

They stood there, admiring the view, feeling a sense of peace wash over them.

Noah took a deep breath, breaking the silence. "Melanie, I don't want to wait any longer. Move in with me tomorrow. No more delays, no more running away. Let's face everything together."

Melanie looked into his eyes, searching for any sign of hesitation, but found none. She nodded, her heart swelling with renewed hope. "Okay". Melanie smiled as they enjoyed the view infront of them.

Unbeknownst to Melanie and Noah, they were not alone. In the shadows, far from the bridge, stood Stephan, observing their every move. He had witnessed the entire exchange, his eyes narrowing as he took in the scene.

"So, Noah wants her to move in with him," Stephan muttered to himself, a sly grin spreading across his face. "I don't know why, but this just made my goal a whole lot easier."

He raised his phone, capturing a photo of the unsuspecting couple. As he lowered the device, a sinister laugh escaped his lips, reverberating through the quiet night, adding a chilling undertone to the otherwise serene surroundings. Stephan's mind raced with possibilities, each one darker than the last, as he plotted his next move, certain that this new development would play perfectly into his hands.
