As I sat there in the pouring rain, my mind spinning with emotions, I heard a voice calling my name. "Layla?" it said, low and hesitant.

I turned my head, my eyes scanning the darkness. And then I saw him - Draco - standing just a few feet away.

My heart leaped into my throat as I stood up, my legs shaking with anticipation. "Draco..." I whispered, the word barely audible over the sound of the rain.

As he moved towards me, I couldn't help but run in his direction, throwing myself into his arms. Draco caught me easily, his strong arms wrapping around me as I buried my head in his chest.

"Draco?" I said again, my voice muffled by his shirt.

"Yes?" he responded, his voice gentle.

The words tumbled out of my mouth before I could stop them. "It's you," I said, my voice filled with conviction. "It's always been you."

There was a moment of stillness before I spoke again, the words coming out in a rush. "I love you," I said, my voice breaking.

Draco's response was immediate, his arms pulling me closer as he whispered back, "I've been waiting for you to say that. I love you too, sweetheart."

Tears streamed down my face as the weight of what I had just admitted finally hit home. "I'm so sorry. I'm just now admitting it," I said, feeling guilty for all of the pain I had caused.

Draco pulled back slightly, his hands cupping my face as he looked into my eyes. "It's okay, Layla. We have all the time in the world to figure things out."

His words were a balm to my soul, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of hope. Maybe things wouldn't be so complicated after all.

As we stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, I knew that I was exactly where I was meant to be - with the person I loved, come what may.

As I clung tightly onto Draco, tears still streaming down my face, he held me close and whispered sweet nothings into my ear. I couldn't believe it was him standing here, in the pouring rain, after everything that had happened.

"I never wanted to hurt you. I just couldn't stand to see you with Regulus," Draco said gently, wiping away a tear from my cheek.

"I know, I know," I said, sniffling. "I just wish I had realized it sooner. Regulus was never the one for me. It was always you."

His eyes lit up at my words, and he pulled me even closer, burying his face in my hair.

"I love you so much, Layla. And I promise to never let anyone hurt you." he said firmly.

We stood there in silence for a few minutes, simply taking comfort in each other's arms. But eventually, Draco spoke up again.

"Let's get out of this cold and go inside, okay?" he said, giving me a reassuring smile.

We walked back into the castle, and it felt even colder than being outside.

"Layla, I have to ask you something though," Draco said suddenly, breaking the comfortable silence as we were walking back to the common room.

"What is it?" I asked, looking up at him.

"What do you see in me? I mean, I know I'm not exactly the most emotional person out there," he said, trailing off.

I thought for a moment before answering. "You are honest with me, Draco. You never sugarcoat things. You make me feel safe, and you always know how to make me laugh. Most importantly, you're always there when I'm at my worst. I don't need you to be overly emotional all the time. I just need you to be you."
