As I sat next to Layla in Potions, I could feel her nerves starting to get the better of her. She was terrible at Potions, and I knew she was worried about making a mistake in front of the class.

"Don't worry, sweetheart," I whispered, "I'll help you out."

She shot me a grateful smile, and I couldn't help but feel proud of myself. I couldn't wait to show her off to everyone at Hogwarts.

"Brewing love potions, are you, Mr. Malfoy?" Slughorn chuckled from the front of the room.

I rolled my eyes. Slughorn never missed an opportunity to make a joke at my expense.

"No, Professor," I said, quickly getting on with my own potion making.

Layla was struggling with the instructions, so I leaned over to help her out.

"Add the dragon's blood slowly," I whispered. "And stir clockwise three times."

She followed my instructions closely, and I could feel her tense up as she waited for the potion to take shape.

"It's looking good," I reassured her, feeling a sense of satisfaction as the potion turned a deep red color. Slughorn wandered over to examine our work, and I held my breath, waiting for his approval.

"Well done, Mr. Malfoy," he said, giving me a nod of approval. "And Miss Vitaly, you've done remarkably well with Mr. Malfoy's help."

I could see Layla's face light up at Slughorn's praise, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride. I had helped her succeed in something she struggled with.

As class ended, I took her hand and led her out of the room. I could see Pansy and Blaise waiting for us in the hallway, and I knew they were eager to see us together.

"Layla, you did great in there," Pansy said, giving her friend a hug.

I pulled Layla close to me and smiled. "Thanks to my expert tutoring," I said with a grin.

We all laughed, and I knew that this was just the beginning of a new chapter in my relationship with Layla. I couldn't wait to see what the future held for us.

I walked her to Charms class, feeling protective of her as I led her through the busy Hogwarts hallway. Mattheo joined us along the way, and I made a mental note to keep an eye on Regulus.

As we arrived at the classroom, I could feel my nerves starting to get the better of me. Regulus was in this class, and we didn't exactly see eye-to-eye.

"I'll see you after class," I said, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek.

She smiled and stepped into the classroom.

As I walked away from the Charm class, I couldn't help but feel satisfaction knowing that Layla was safely inside and Regulus was nowhere near her. But my peace was short-lived.

"Malfoy," Regulus sneered as he appeared from around the corner. "My, my, my. If it isn't the boy who's stolen my Layla away from me."

I rolled my eyes. "She chose me, Black. Get over it."

He chuckled condescendingly. "For now, yes. But we both know Layla's heart is fickle. She'll get bored of you eventually and may find her way back to me."

I clenched my jaw, trying to control the anger that was slowly building inside me. "That's not going to happen."

Regulus raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure about that? I mean, you're a Malfoy. You're bound to mess things up sooner or later."

I felt a flash of anger rise within me. "Watch your tongue, Black. You may have had her in the past, but you're not getting her back."

He smirked. "We'll see about that, won't we?"

I glared at him, then decided to end the conversation. "Stay away from her, Black. She's mine."

As I walked away, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. What if she did get bored of me? What if he was right?

But then I shook myself out of my doubts. No, I wouldn't give up that easily. I loved Layla, and I would fight for her no matter what.

I walked down the hallway towards Layla's charms class, eager to see her again after class. As I approached the door, I could hear students shuffling out and gathering their things. Finally, I spotted Layla in the crowd and made my way over to her.

"Hi, sweetheart," I said, kissing her on the cheek. "Ready for lunch?"

She smiled and took my hand. "I'm starving. Let's go."

As we walked towards the Great Hall, I couldn't help but bring up my earlier run-in with Regulus. "Layla, I saw Regulus in the hallway before your class started. He was being quite cocky."

Layla raised an eyebrow. "What did he say?"

"He suggested that you might grow tired of me and go back to him," I said, trying to brush off the comment.

Layla scoffed. "That's ridiculous. I'm with you because I choose to be Draco.

I felt a warm feeling spread through me at her words. I couldn't help but ask. "Did Regulus try to talk to you in charms class?"

She shook her head. "No, he didn't even look my way. I think he knows better than to try anything with you around."

I couldn't help but feel relieved. "Good. I don't want him getting any ideas."

Layla squeezed my hand. "Don't worry, Draco. I'm yours and yours alone."
