jonas: Can't wait..

I blush, getting up off the bed and stretching.

me: You hungry?

"Yeah, but I don't want to have to trouble you," he says rubbing his neck with his hand.

Grabbing his hand, I lead him downstairs to the kitchen. As we enter, I smell waffle batter, chocolate, and maple syrup.

"Morning you two," my awfully cheery mother says, "did you sleep well?"

Before I can sign, Jonas answers, "Quite pleasant actually." He sends a smirk in my direction.

I blush again.

"Good, good. Do you kids want waffles?" she asks.

I see Jonas' mouth water as he watches her open the waffle maker. He follows the chocolate chip waffle as my mother sits it on a plate and put a few waves of syrup on top of it. We sit down at the table, me in the middle of Jonas and Jessie, and Mom sits a plate down in front of each of us with two perfect-looking waffles.

This looks delishous, I sign.

She signs back with, thank you.

I start shoving pieces of waffle into my mouth, the chocolate chips melting as I chew. All three of us each let out a moan. Mom just smiles and makes another batch.
