[Next Friday]
third person
Danielle and Jonas are both excited for tonight. The anticipation has been killing them all week, and tonight it will all be worth it.
Danielle wakes up and begins getting ready for school today. She grabs a pair of black leggings, a baggy red sweater, socks, and her black and white Converse. She goes to the bathroom and straightens her blonde hair. She puts on her normal makeup, but adds black eyeliner and some matte red lipstick. She walks back into her room, grabbing her phone, earbuds, and her backpack. As she walks down the stairs, her mother says her goodbyes, and hands Danielle a breakfast bar and a thermos of coffee. Danielle kisses her cheek and walks out the door for the bus.
Danielle plugs in her earbuds, blasting Gerard Way's Hesitant Alien album. As she walks down the isle, to claim her seat in the back, other kids give her strange and disgusted looks. She ignores them as she sits down, looking out the window.
Jonas, on the other hand, was just starting to get ready. He puts on a black Fall Out Boy t-shirt, black skinny jeans, and his black and white Converse. He doesn't do a lot to his hair. He just puts on a black beanie and styles his fringe with some jell. Jonas puts his phone and earbuds in his backpack, and he grabs the motorcycle helmet.
"Bye Aunt Crystal! Bye Uncle Jeff" Jonas screams as he walks out the door.
"Don't forget about tonight!" his aunt calls back.
"Oh, I won't," he whispers to himself. Jonas climbs onto the bike, putting the helmet on, pulling up the kickstand with his foot, and reving the engine. He backs out of the driveway, driving away to school.
When both of them reach the school, Jonas leans up against the wall of the building, waiting for Danielle. She smiles as she locks eyes with him. Jonas just smirks. She pulls out one of her earbuds as she gets closer, also pulling out her phone.
"Good morning, Dani," he says. Jonas receives a text seconds later.
dani: Morning! You're in a good mood. : )
"Yeah, well. You're coming over tonight, and we're both excited about that," Jonas says.
dani: Yeah we are!
Jonas laughs at her messge. He listens carefully, noticing the song playing, "Action Cat" on the Hesitant Alien album.
"Is that "Action Cat"?" Jonas asks.
dani: Yes. Do you want to listen with me?
jonas: I'd love too.
Danielle hands Jonas the other earbud, not even flinching at how loud the music is playing. Gerard's voice flows through their ears.
"Come on, let's get to class," Jonas says.
Jonas and Danielle walk closely together through the hallway. They both notice the stares from everyone in the hallway, but they shrug them off.
When they get to Danielle's locker, she grabs her binder and book, and they make their way to Jonas' locker. The teachers gave him his books last week, so he didn't need to borrow Danielle's.

Jonas and I walk down the hallway to our first class: Math. In class, we've been working on a project that Mrs. Johnson assigned on Monday. We have to come up with a yes or no question, ask 75 people "yes or no", graph the information, make a percent for each answer, et cetera. It's a long process.
We walk into class, and I pull out my earbuds from Jonas' and I's ears. I turn off the music and put my phone in my backpack. I take out my sticky note pack and my beloved pen. We sit down in our seats beside each other, writing notes till class starts.
