[6 o'clock at Danielle's House]

I hear the door bell, and the sound of knocking seconds later. I rush to the front door, opening it.
"Hi!" a skinny woman says, "You must be the gorgeous Danielle your mother always talks about."
I nod my head, blushing. I open the door a little wider, so both herself and (probably) her husband can get through. They move to the living room, soaking in all the family photos, potted flowers, and Martha Stewart home decor.
"See Harold, this is exactly what I want to do in our living room. It has class and elegance, yet it's homey," the skinny woman says to Harold.
They walk around the living room and the dinning room. Once they enter the kitchen, they're greeted by my mother. I try to listen in on their conversation, but the doorbell rings again. I open it, revealing a slightly-chunky man.
"Is this the McAdams' residency?" he asks.
I nod my head, opening the door and gesturing inside. He waddles in, making his way over to my mother, Harold, and the skinny woman. I take a few steps to follow him, but the doorbell rings.
Again?
I take a deep breath, calming my agitated nerves before I open the door. My eyes blink rapidly at what I see.
Jonas is in black skinny jeans, his per usual black and white Converse, and a fitted blue sweater, with a white collared button down underneath. His hair is styled to look professional, yet it still has his usual bed head look.
"Hello there," he says, his voice a little raspy.
I wave my hand, then stick it out for him to grab. His bigger hand wraps around mine as I lead him to the kitchen where almost everyone is (some guests still haven't arrived yet).
My mother looks away from the people around her to acknowledge Jonas and I. "Oh! Everyone, this is Jonas. He's Danielle's boyfriend."
I freeze in place.
Boyfriend? I don't even know if he wants to even be called that!
Jonas doesn't faze. He actually looks proud that my mother called him that. I make eye contact with him, and he smirks.
I hear the doorbell again, so I race to the door, my hand leaving Jonas'.
Was I holding his hand the entire time?
I open the door, letting in a beautiful woman and an equally handsome man into our house.
"Are you Miss Danielle McAdams?" she asks. I nod my head. "You have your mother's beauty."
She's calling me beautiful? Honey, look at yourself in the mirror.
I smile. He wraps his arms around her waist, leading her to the kitchen with everyone else. And thankfully, they are the last co-workers.
I make my way back to Jonas, who is currently talking to Harold.
"My son also enjoys music." I over hear.
"Yeah? What bands or artist does he listen to?" Jonas asks him.
"I think their name is," Harold pauses for a second, "Abraham Lincoln Park?"
Jonas tries to hold back laughs. He and I both know he's talking about Linkin Park.
I creep up behind Jonas, waiting for the chance for me to drag him off, away from Harold and the co-workers.
