Chapter 20

I pull away. 

I hope I'm right. I love you, Bunny. I love you so much. I don't know what I would do if I lost you.

The elevator dings and the doors open. Olympus is empty today, all the houses are lit up.

After the long walk we finally make it to the throne room of Olympus. I lift my hand to knock on the big doors. 

"Zeus! It's not fair, let them live a normal life for once! They already suffered enough!" 

Percy looks at me. "Was that-" 

"Poseidon?" I say. 

"I don't care what they've been through! It's not safe for us, it's too risky!" Zeus yells.

 "But that's your son! You don't care?" Poseidon spits back. 

"He was a mistake! He's not even Greek! He's a Roman! I don't care for the boy! You don't care about your son either!" 

"Yes! Yes I do! You just make it so hard for me to show it! You make it so hard for all of us! Just let them live normally!" 

"NO! The world is not fair! I will not have some mortals take over the world!" Zeus' voice booms through the room. 

"That's the thing! They don't want to live forever! They want to live past the age of twenty, sure, but they don't want to live forever. They don't want our jobs!" Poseidon yells. Zeus scoffs. 

I knock on the door quickly.

"Come in." 

The doors open and we step inside. We both bow.

 "Rise." Poseidon says. 

He raise our heads.

 "What's the problem?" I ask.

 Zeus rolls his eyes. "The problem is you guys. You guys dating is too dangerous.  Especially if you have children." I look at Percy. 

"Children, but we are both-"

 "Guys? Yes. But, giving you the power to was being discussed." Zeus says, looking to his side. Apollo looks at the ground.

"We can't have that, obviously so..."

 "Brother! No!" Poseidon says. 

Zeus snaps his fingers and a spear flies toward Percy. 

"Percy! Watch out!" I yell. 

Percy looks at the spear, but it's to late. Percy falls to the ground. I kneel down next to him and brake the shaft of the spear off so it's not sticking out.

 "It's okay, Percy. It'll...it will be alright. Just breath, Seaweed Brain. Breath." I look up, "Apollo! Please...help me." 

He shakes his head silently. I look at Poseidon. 

"Help me! Do something!"

 He looks down. Zeus watches with a smug look on his face. Aphrodite is crying in the corner. 

"Angel...look at me." Percy says, inhaling sharply. I look at him. "I love you, Angel," he croaks. 

"Just-just hang in there, Percy. I'll get some ambrosia-"

 "Jason, it can't be fixed, it's cursed."

Tears stream down my face. "No...No, don't say that, Percy." Percy smiles and holds my hand. 

"Sing to me, please. I want to leave listening to your voice." He inhales slowly.

 "Okay, I-I love you Percy."

 "I love you too, Angel."

I inhale.

My voice cracks as I feel Percy's breaths slow down. His blood is spilled all over the floor. I hold him closer to my chest.

Percy's grip on my hand slackens. My tears drip on to his face. I wipe them away. "I love you, Percy."

 He smiles weakly. "I love you too, Angel." He closes his eyes and exhales one last time. I hold him close to my chest and sob into his hair. He fades away slowly by Hades, into the Underworld.

I hug myself instead of Percy. 

He's gone. Forever. I love you, Percy, with all my heart. He's gone. Forever. He's dead. They did nothing! The Gods did nothing, but sit there and watch. 

I look up, my face red, puffy, and tear-stained. "How could you!? He had a life ahead of him! What about his mother!? What about his step-dad!? What about his baby sister!? What about his friends!? What about me!?" 

"It had to happen, son-"

 "DO NOT CALL ME YOUR SON AFTER WHAT YOU DID!" 

I turn around, sobbing. I run out the doors and out of Olympus.

What am I going to tell everyone?

"FUCK!" I yell.

          Hii. Personally, I cried twice writing this- T-T I know it's sad but, I need it to be sad. There are three more chapters and then the book is done! the song is called C'est beau, C'est toi by Philippine. I wanted Jason to have a song that Thalia sang to him when he was younger so. I love you all! <3
