The four were in the library still trying to find more about Nicholas Flamel. Harry and Ron were sitting at the tables, while Hermione and Maurelle went to go look for the book that Harry could not find.

"We had you guys look through the wrong section." Maurelle said as she walked over to the table.

"How could I be so stupid?!" Hermione dropped the gigantic brick of a book on the table, making Harry and Ron jump, "I checked this out weeks ago for a bit of light reading."

"This is light?" Ron said, his eyes widen at how thick a book could be.

Hermione just shot a glare at Ron as she continues to flip pages.

"Look, here it is." Maurelle pointed, "Nicholas Flamel is the only known maker of the Philosopher Stone." she said.

"The what?" Harry and Ron said.

"Honestly, don't you two read?" Hermione said.

"Anyways, the philosopher stone is a legendary substance with astonishing powers, it will transform any metal into gold and produce the Elixir of Life, which will make the drink immortal." Maurelle continued to read.

"Immortal?" Ron said.

"It means you'll never die." Hermione said.

"I know what it means!" Ron raised his voice, but Harry shushed him.

"The only stone currently in existence belongs to Nicholas Flamel, the alchemist, who last year just celebrated his 665 birthdays." Maurelle said.

"That is what that dog's guarding under that trapdoor for. That is the Philosopher Stone" Hermione said.

"It all makes sense. Whoever it is, this is what they are after" Maurelle said.

After the meeting at the library, the four planned to meet later that night to speak to Hagrid. Maurelle had snuck her way out of the common room as quietly as she can. However, she had the feeling someone was following her, but she brushed it off knowing it was just her mind playing tricks on her. If anything, it could've been Peeves.

"You are right on time." Hermione said.

"Now, let us go before someone sees us." Maurelle said.

They quickly ran and headed towards Hagrid's hut. Harry knocked on the door and Hagrid, opened it.

"Hagrid-" Harry said but Hagrid quickly responded.

"Oh, hello. So sorry, I don't wish to be rude. But I am in no fit state to entertain ya for today" He said.

He was about to close his door when the four of them said, "We know about the philosopher's stone!"

Hagrid opened the door again, "Oh" he sighed. He invited them all in his hut.

"I think Snape is trying to steal it." Harry said.

"Snape? Blimey, you're not still about him, are ya?" Hagrid said.

"Hagrid! We know he is after the stone, but we don't know why." Harry said.

"Don't count me in. I still don't think he is a culprit." Maurelle said. Hagrid looked at her and nodded his head in agreement.

Hagrid then looked back at Harry, "Snape is one of the teachers protecting the stone. He is not about to steal it." Hagrid said.

"What?!" Harry looked at Ron.

The three were very confused, while Maurelle was taken in their defeat.

"You heard right. Come on now, I am a bit preoccupied today" Hagrid said.
