A/N: Today is Tom and Iris's birthday. In honor of that, here is a new chapter!!!
Percival and Maurelle were relaxing in the house when all of a sudden the lights started to flicker. They stopped what they were doing and were alert. The lights finally gave out, so Percival walked over to one of the light switches. He flipped it multiple times, but nothing happened.
"Short-circuit? " he said.
"Hahaha very funny." she said sarcastically, " Everything runs magically, you know that." she said.
"Eeh, worth a shot." he shrugged.
Maurelle rolled her eyes and grabbed two candlesticks. She gave one to Percival and lit them by snapping her finger near the wicks. They each searched the house to see any cause, but they couldn't find anything. They met back in the main living area to inform each other.
"Anything unusual?" she said.
"Not really." he said.
A violent breeze ran through the house causing the candles to blow out.
"Ugh, this is great." she scoffed.
"Why don't you just use your wand?" Percival said.
"Oh yeah, I forgot." she laughed.
Percival shook his head while Maurelle grabbed her wand and used it as a flashlight.
"Lumos." she casted.
"Your breath." he said.
Maurelle noticed how cold it became, which enabled her to see her breath. She now realized what they were dealing with.
"Dementors." she said.
"Those things? How do we handle them?" he said.
"You'll be fine. You don't have a soul. In their eyes, they see you as one of them. Only a Patronus charm can shew them away, but I'm not sure you could perform that spell." she said.
"And why is that?" he said.
"It requires human emotion, which last time we checked you aren't human." she said.
"Well, it doesn't hurt to try." he said a bit taken back.
"Maybe we can practice another time, but right now I need to take care of this." she said.
Maurelle walked out of the front door and saw a herd of dementors coming her way. She casted her corpeal patronus, which chased them far away from the house. She went back inside and the lights turned on again.
"What are the dementors doing here in the first, place?" Percival said.
"I don't know, but they didn't come here for a stroll."Maurelle said.
"What do you mean?" he said.
"Someone ordered them." she said.
Maurelle suddenly heard Harry's voice whisper in her head.
Auxilium....
Auxilium.....
The second time he said it, he struggled to finish.
"I have to go, Harry needs help." she said.
"Wait!" Percival said.
He grabbed her cloak and placed it over her. He tied it around her neck and said,"It's cold outside and you need to cover your scar. "
"Thanks, mom." she chuckled.
"Thank me later, now go." he plopped down on the couch, back to reading his book.
