All the students gather up at their house's tables, welcoming another year.
Maurelle sat down and greeted some of her mutual friends who were nearby.
"Freya." Pansy said on the other side of the table.
"Parkinson." Maurelle gave her a fake smile.
Draco came in with his goons and took up the spaces on either side of the table. He sat by Maurelle.
"Maurelle, where were you? Thought you were gonna sit with me in the train?" He said.
"Draco, I saved you a seat next to me, remember? I told you I would at the train?" Pansy interrupted their conversation.
"Sorry, Pansy. I forgot." He shrugged his shoulders.
"Didn't know you were waiting for me, Draco." Maurelle chuckled.
"I wasn't necessarily waiting, but I just thought you would, considering the previous years." he said.
Draco moved in closer to Maurelle and whispered," Hey, what happened to you after the game? Where did you go?"
Maurelle was about to say something, but Dumbledore began to make an announcement.
"Now we're all settled in and sorted,I'd like to make an announcement. This castle will not only be your home this year but home to some very special guests as well. You see Hogwarts has been chosen..." Dumbledore was interrupted by Filch, as he runs up the aisle limping in a comical way, he whispers something to Dumbledore and leaves in the same fashion. Dumbledore then cntinues, "So Hogwarts has been chosen to host a legendary event. The Tri-Wizard tournament. Now for those of you who do not know, the tri-wizard tournament brings together three schools for a series of magical contests. From each school a single contestant is selected to compete. Now let me be clear, if chosen...you stand alone. And trust me when I say these contests are not for the faint hearted, but more of that later. For now please join me in welcoming the lovely ladies of the Beauxbatons Academy of magic and their headmistress Madam Maxime."
A group of girls dressed in blue dance up the aisle and release butterflies into the air. They bow and everyone applauds.
"Wow, look at the size of that woman." Goyle said, addressing to their Headmistress.
"And now our friends from the north, please greet the proud sons of Durmstrang and the high master Igor Karkaroff." Dumbledore said.
A series of older boys walk up the aisle brandishing bo-staffs, twirling them around and periodically stabbing them into the ground with a spark effect.
Maurelle recognizes a particular boy who was walking with the headmaster.
"Isn't he that guy from that quidditch world cup?" Maurelle said.
"Yeah, that's him, Victor Krum." Draco said.
The school's performance ended with the the boys breathing some fire.
"Albus!" Igor said.
"Igor." Dumbledore said.
They embrace in a hug and Igor stepped aside.
"Hogwarts!" Dumbledore stepped down,"Let's entertain our guest as best as we can!"
Everyone stood up, ready to sing a song.
"Ugh, I can't bear to do this." Maurelle embarrassed on what she was about to endure, feeling sorry for the other schools. She hid her face on Draco's chest.
Draco shared the same disinterest and comforted her while they were muttering the words to their Alma mater. Pansy saw the two and was disgusted by it.
