Hermione and Maurelle were by the lake doing some extra reading for their classes. They took a quick break and admired their view.
"So, are Harry and Ron still not in good terms?" Maurelle said.
"Yes, it's unbearable. Acting like children for crying out loud." Hermione said.
"Boys will be boys." Maurelle laughed.
"What are you gonna do about the dragon in the tournament?" Hermione said.
"I don't know, yet. But it's the least of my concern." Maurelle said.
"I'm sure you'll be fine. It's Harry I'm worried about." Hermione said.
"Yeah, me too. All of this just seems such a coincidence. The dreams, the dark mark, now this. I mean how is that even possible. How could the goblet spit out two names of underage wizards, and they just so happen to be the two people everyone talks about." Maurelle said.
"You can say that again. Clearly, someone is behind all of this. The real question is who?" Hermione said.
"I'm scared, Hermione." Maurelle said.
"Wow, that's the first time I've heard you say that." Hermione said.
"What if my father is behind all of this?" Maurelle said.
"Could be." Hermione said.
"I'm scared to meet him." Maurelle said.
"Didn't you confront him in the Chamber of Secrets?" Hermione said.
"Technically yes, but that was different. I saw a younger version of himself, a memory. I've heard rumors of the monster he is, both physically and mentally." Maurelle said.
"That's reasonable to be scared of him." Hermione said.
"I feel as though he'll kill me." Maurelle said.
"Don't say that! You are his daughter." Hermione said.
"He didn't hesitate with my mother." Maurelle said.
"You told me, he's been waiting and looking for you for years. Maybe he is looking for a chance to start over and build a relationship. You remind him of your mother, of course, he is going to want to be with you. I know he is the dark lord, and will probably want you on his side. But as your best friend, if you had the chance to live, I'd tell you to join him. I wouldn't want you to be killed for protecting us." Hermione said.
"Hermione?! How could you say that, I wouldn't betray you! As your best friend, I'm telling you that I'd sacrifice myself if it means you could live." Maurelle said.
"I know, I know. I just wanted to let you know, that I wouldn't be mad at you." Hermione said.
"Oh Hermione, you are so considerate, yet an idiot for saying that." Maurelle chuckled.
Hermione laughed at her comment and they went back to their homework.

Harry is pacing nervously, while Maurelle is trying desperately to calm him down. Hermione was standing by the tent door whispering in.
"Pssst! Harry? Is that you?" Hermione said.
"Yeah." Harry said.
"Maurelle?" Hermione said.
"What is it?" Maurelle said.
"Maurelle, Malfoy is on the other side of me." Hermione said his name in disgust.
"What?" Maurelle slightly confused.
