Steve changed Avery and got her into her pajamas. He knew he should've laid her down at her bedtime, but she'd climbed up on him and fallen asleep. He couldn't lose the moment. Her tiny hands held onto his shirt, her face nuzzled into his chest, slightly drooling on him with her little body, taking up as much space as she could across him. He loved it. He loved his little girl. He loved Maddison, too. He couldn't believe she'd said it first.

When Steve headed back out into the livingroom, Maddison had just pulled the plate out of the microwave, so he took it from her and sat it at the kitchen table. "Sit. Eat, I'll get you some water." He insisted. He patted her on her luscious ass before heading into the kitchen to refill her Stanley with ice water. That was her preferred drink. Otherwise, he would've happily gotten her whatever she could possibly want.

Steve joined Maddison back at the table. He sat next to her and sat her Stanley next to her. "Thank you, Steve." She said quietly. He wrapped his arm around her waist, leaning in and kissing her temple. "For what, angel?" He asked.

"Taking care of me, taking care of Avery, making dinner, loving me, handling the power company. How did that go, by the way?" Maddison rambled.

Steve let out a quick laugh, kissing her temple again. "It went fine. They apologized for the inconvenience, and you now have a set rate. $128 a month." He informed her. "And I take care of my girls because I love you, and her." He quickly added.

Maddison stopped eating, turning in her chair to stare at him. "How? My cheapest bill is $150." She asked. He knew she was going to ask that, he just hadn't prepared an answer that she'd like. "Well.." He started, scratching the back of his neck nervously. "Spit it out, Rogers." She teased.

Steve laughed, rolling his eyes at her. "Careful, that'll be your name someday, too." He warned. "They wouldn't tell me anything without a name. Then when they heard my name, they..." He started, he awkwardly shrugged, unsure of what to say.

"They wanted to worship the ground you walk on?" Maddison offered with a quick laugh. Steve nodded, it basically was what happened. As soon as he'd told them who he was, it went from "Sir, I can't help you unless your name is on the account" to "Right away, Mr. America, and can I say it is an honor." While usually those conversations could get old, this one saved his girl some money. So it was well worth it, even if the phone did get passed around to half of the building, letting almost every worker talk to him. That phone call ended up lasting far longer than it needed to, but it got Maddison a cheaper bill so it was worth it.

Maddison laughed, squeezing his hand lightly. "Thank you, Steve." She said. Steve smiled at her, motioning for her to eat her dinner. He sat with her while she ate, rubbing her back lightly and having casual conversation. He loved this girl, so much that it made him crazy. He didn't expect when Emilia demanded he met her for dinner all those months ago that he would've met his forever person. He didn't expect that the firey drunk redhead would want anything to do with him beyond casual conversation and a ride home. But he was more than happy that she did. Of course he had to put in a little more effort than he thought he'd have to in order to get to this point, she fought him the entire time, but she was worth it. Both of his girls were worth every drop of effort. He wanted to ask Maddison to move in together, but he knew she wouldn't want to give up this house, and he didn't feel like it was his place to basically invite himself to live with his girls. He felt like that was something Maddison should initiate and he wasn't going to push her. But he was hoping she'd want to talk about it before Avery was old enough to remember a time when he didn't live there. "Anything for you, angel." He promised her.

The rest of their night was spent on the couch, watching movies, making out, cuddling and snacking. By the time Maddison was fighting off yawns, she was curled up between his legs with her back against his chest. He had both arms firmly around her and his chin on top of her head. He loved holding onto her like that, he loved holding onto her at all. He'd spend every second of the rest of his life holding his girls if he could. "How about we get you a little rest?" He offered, wanting her to get some sleep. She didn't have work or class tomorrow, but he knew she wanted to do a little more party planning and catch up on some homework on her day off.

Maddison nodded, yawning again before standing up. "Good idea, are you staying?" She asked. She reached a hand out for him, smiling when he took it and stood up. "I'd love to if you want me to." Steve offered. Maddison wrapped her arms around his neck, smiling up at him. "Of course I want you to. Plus if you're taking Avery on her sunrise run, you wont have to make the drive so early in the morning." She mentioned. Steve let out a small bark of laughter, leaning down to grip onto her thighs and lifting her up. He loved the feeling of her weight in his arms. "I run to your house in the mornings, but I will always take an excuse to stay over." He told her. He carried her to bed, sitting her on the edge of the bed once he'd gotten into her bedroom.

"You know, you could always take over a couple of drawers here..." Maddison said quietly. Steve spun around, surprised by what she had said. He didn't expect that she'd mention that so fast. It wasn't quite moving in together, but it was offering him to stay over more often. He loved it.

Steve quatted down in front of her, pulling her against him and crashing their lips together for a quick but heated kiss. "You want to give me a drawer?" He asked when he broek the kiss.

Maddison slightly blushed, but nodded her head. "Yes. I like having you here. You make me happy, you make Avery happy, and you make my life easier. But that's not why I want you here." She said. Steve leaned in, kissing her again. "I'd love to take a drawer, and I'd love to give you half the closet at mine." He said happily.

Maddison stared down at Steve after he'd broken the kiss, looking like she'd wanted to say something. So Steve waited patiently for her to say what she needed to say. "Why do you still live with them? You have more than enough money to move out." She finally blurted out.

Steve let out a quick laugh, leaning in to give her another quick kiss. "I do. But Emilia doesn't want me to leave. We've all spent so long apart after being so close back in the day, so now she doesn't want us all to be apart again until we have to be. So I figured I'm not moving out until my girl is ready to live together." He told her.

Maddison smiled at that, putting her hands on his shoulders. "You want to live with me?" She asked. Steve nodded. He stood up, sitting next to her on the bed. "I want to live with both of my girls, when you're ready. No rush." He promised her. She turned to face him, taking his hand into hers. "I want to live with you, but I don't want to take you away from your friends. Maybe you could be here, but spend time with Emilia and Bucky too?" She offered.

Steve let out a quick laugh, kissing Maddison on the temple. "I can manage that. How about I stay here with you two, but during the day while you're at work or with Jackson and Scott, I will spend time with Buck and Em. I'll take Avery with me whenever she isn't with the guys or your mom." He offered. He was ready to pack all his stuff and move in right then, but he also wasn't sure he was ready to be away from Emilia and Bucky yet. Plus he wanted to be around when they finally got pregnant. But he told himself once they finally had a baby, he'd fully move out and let them be their perfect little family. Alone.
