Today, I spent most of my time working. It was irritating having to work on your laptop in bed. When I tried my vanity, it wasn't comfortable as all my makeup was everywhere.
I stare at the letter written by my father-in-law. I had spoken to him after the dinner before the wedding and during the wedding night but they weren't long conversations.
At first, I thought the letter was brought to my room by mistake, but it says my name on it. Tate Carmen Fontana.
I press my lips together and cross my legs as I start reading.

I pause my reading when I hear a knock on my door. "Come in!" I yell, hiding the Letter under my pillow.
Dion, the guard in the hallway comes rushing in. "I'm sorry ma'am but we have to take you to a safer room. It's not safe in the front side of the mansion at the moment."
My eyes widen. Is this my life now?
I quickly scurry off my bed and follow the guard quietly out of my room.
"I'm sorry ma'am. This was your husband's order. We'll let you know it's safe."
I give him a slight nod as he closes and locks the door. My legs feel tired we spend almost 20 minutes walking to the other side of the mansion to hide won't be part of my daily routine in this home or this isn't going to work.
"So, You're the don's wife?" I hear a voice from behind me.
I turn around to see a woman, with beautiful dirty blonde hair. I take a deep breath. "You scared me." I take a seat in the other corner of the room. "Yes. I am." I answer her question.
She looks up and smiles. "Im Aria. It's so nice to see a woman around here now. I'm the only woman who works here."
I get up and sit in front of her. "How come? What do you do?"
"Uh...I install trackers and I'm good at hacking. The best. I'm only here cause my cousin works here and I kind of found out. Either I work with them or I die. And I think we both know what option I picked."
"Oh. Well, I'm happy to be your first female friend here. I'm Tate."
"I know your name. Just wasn't sure of the face. It's good to see you. I hope we can be friends. Also, don't become friends with my cousin, Giovanni. It will be the worst mistake of your life."
I chuckle. "Got it."
Aria closes her laptop. "So why'd you marry him?"
"Uh. A business arrangement."
Aria frowns. "I'm sorry. It's gonna be tough. That man is always angry about something. He's nice when he wants to be and that's usually not often." Aria sips her coffee.
