I stand up from my bed and walk to my mirror and wrap my silk robe over my body.
With my hair band in tucked between my top and bottom lip, I grab my brush and pull my long dark hair into a ponytail.
Im not sure why I'm awake at 5:36 a.m. but I'm definitely not tired. I slip on my comfy slippers and make my way through the door.
"Good morning Ma'am." Carlo greets me.
"Good morning." I walk down the long hallway and Carlo quickly follows behind me. "You know you don't have to follow me around when I'm in the house."
"Sorry ma'am but sir said I should make sure you're okay and safe when it's quiet in the mansion. No one is awake but him and us men. Everyone is usually asleep but alert. Until 8 a.m when it's bright im to be with you at all times." he explains.
"I'm. Okay. Where is Christian now?"
Carlo presses his lips together and looks around the room. "What?" I question. He shrugs. "Nothing ma'am. He's in the gym having a workout but I don't think sir Cameron is joining him today."
I nod without thinking and start to make my way to the gym.
I pause in my tracks when I notice Christian on the side lifting weights. I turn to Carlo. "Leave. If he asks I'll tell him I made you."
Carlo's face morphs into an expression of fear. "No ma'am sir will be angry I don't-"
"He's here, isn't he? I'm safe. He's right here. Go. I'll be fine." I whisper trying not to get Christian's attention.
He sighs and walks off with hesitation. I turn back to look at Christian. Almost his whole body was covered in beautiful tattoos. Mostly on his arm but quite a few on his front area and some creeping to his neck. He looks like a Greek god.
His neck tattoos were the hottest looks. As I stood there fawning over his looks I hear a loud chuckle. My eyes widen as I turn my head to the wall.
"Didn't know you were a fan of tattoos that way." I blush in embarrassment. Did I say that out loud?
"Yes. You did."
"Well, I wasn't talking about you. I'm daydreaming about the guy I was reading about in my romance novel. I must have thought you were him. I'm seeing things."
"Sure. Why are you up at this time? You need rest. You have a long day today."
I frown. "I do?"
He hums. "You have a trainer coming in for you today. You need to learn self-defence as everyone here has. He'll be here in about half an hour so I'd get ready." He continues lifting his weights.
I groan In annoyance. "What is your problem? Why do you always tell me things the day they're happening not before?"
"Because I don't plan things. I have people do it for me. I have a list of things that are needed to be done or places I need to be at what day and my assistants clear my schedule."
