It took everything in me not to pay attention to her this morning.
The night before she asked that we try to make this marriage work, and I stupidly agreed. The opposite of what I want to do.
My whole plan throughout the year is to find a way to get rid of her so we are no longer partnered with the Spanish mafia. But I've only made it worse.
The sight of her in pjs touching my lower body to clean up my wound must have gotten to my head. I never should have accepted her help.
"What is this!?" My father yells removing me away from my thoughts. He grips onto the letter that we received this afternoon. "Who does he think he is?"
Leo sent a stupid letter letting us know he's coming back. He finally gave us his extra weapons and threw in some cash and we let him go. Clearly, the stab mark the size of a 4-year-old arm across his body wasn't enough of a warning.
The first round was a fight. We won. But he wants more now. Meaning this will now become a war. A war my father isn't too happy about.
"Dario! Calm down. The boy needs this. He's new to this mafia business. It will be a great way to see what he's capable of. With no help." My grandfather says.
My father sighs. "I- fine."
"Wait what? You're agreeing with him. I have no time for this let's just kill the bastard." I grumble.
My grandfather narrows his eyes and presses his knuckles to my desk. "Whether you like it or not, this is our life. Your father had to go through tough things on his own, without my help, to be able to know how to lead the mafia. For you to learn, you need to face hardships like Leo and his men for instance."
My grandfather shifts his gaze to my father. "Unfortunately, I won't be here much longer, and not for a while but neither will your father. You need to learn son."
Sebastian walks into the room. "Christian, he's in the basement. He's refusing to say anything." He says.
Someone's been hiding certain information that's needed. The last person on the computer that had all the information stored in it was one of my men. He says he didn't do anything. Even if he did, he's stupid at hiding it. We got it all back.
Either you're with us, or you're dead.
I sigh. "I'm on my way."

"What were you planning to do with that information!?" I ask, twisting the knife further into his neck.
"I- Fuck! N-nothing! I didn't do it." Lucas growls.
"Why was everything found in your computer and everything gone the time you left the computer!?"
He doesn't respond. I slice the knife across his chest. He winces. "I'm not gonna tell you shit!"
