I slowly step down from the lander and look above me to see the beautiful banner hung up.

Leah grins. "It looks good ma'am"

I've been helping the maids around the house decorate for Thanksgiving pretty much the whole day.

It's been over a month since I've been out of hospital. I didn't think it'll happen but I think I've finally gotten past the stage of still feeling frightened. I've been put in therapy for the past month and having someone to vent to was nicer than I thought.

As much as Emilia, Aria, and Christian were helpful to have around, someone who didn't know me and gave me helpful suggestions made things a lot better.

I wouldn't say I'm fully recovered mentally as a lot of things happened that I can't seem to get passed just yet but I'm trying and Christian taking me the therapy was a big help.

My mother hasn't stopped calling and randomly visiting out of nowhere. I had to convince her to not come this week as we'll all be here for Thanksgiving. Including the family members, I'd rather leave unnamed from both sides.

Aria gives me a high-five. "This place looks great. I don't think we've ever had this place this decorated?"

"Really? My parents' house is decorated for every different celebration. The maids go all out. I guess this is my time to give this boring house a makeover."

"I thought you loved the colour scheme of this house." Aria frowns.

"I still do. I just see it all the time that it's not as aesthetically pleasing to the eye anymore. Christian is still saying no for a makeover." I roll my eyes and hand Leah the pumpkin.

When I was aged thirteen to seventeen I'd redecorate my room every four months and rearrange every month. Whether it was my bed or just my dressing table. It's just how I am.

Carlo hands me the bill and I sigh. "Give this to Christian instead. He can handle a few hundred thousand. I still need to buy a dress."

Carlo takes it back from my hands and smiles and me and raises a brow. I laugh at his childish behaviour. "You can take a doughnut from the kitchen counter."

"Thank you, ma'am." He grins and rushes over to the kitchen.

Just as he makes his way to the kitchen, Giovanni and Cameron walk in through the front door, holding small boxes.

"Woah this place looks nice." Cam smiles, as he examines the entrance of the mansion.

Giovanni sighs. "Where the food at?"

I roll my eyes as Aria knocks him in the head. "What? I'm hungry." He groans, "Please tell me ms Russo made her famous pasta for dinner tonight."

"She did," I reply and Giovanni grins and drops his box on the floor to dance his way into the kitchen.
