Carlo wraps an arm around me

Carlo wraps an arm around me. "How cute ma'am."

I roll my eyes, a smile on my face. "Thank you Carlo but I'm still not buying you a donut."

He sighs and lets go. "Where are you even going?"

As I'm about to respond Christian makes his way to me and Carlo. "On a date," I say quietly as Christian reaches us.

Carlo's eyes sparkle. "Really?" He grins as he switches his gaze to Christian. "Evening sir."

Christian gives him a slight nod in response and wraps his arm around my waist and places a light kiss on my forehead. "Ready to go?"

I nod and Carlo opens the door but Christian stops him. "I'll be taking her tonight Carlo. You can get an early night."

Carlo sighs in relief. "Thank you, sir. Have a good night ma'am." He says, making his way through the mansion.

Christian holds my door open, waiting for me to get in and drags my seatbelt over my body before opening his door and getting in. He places his large hand on my thigh causing me to look up and smile.

"Are we going to a restaurant?" I ask.

"Did Aria tell you?"

I laugh. "Yep."

He sighs in annoyance. "Of course."

We arrived at a restaurant not long after. The restaurant was elegant looking and very beautiful.

My eyes scan the outside as Christian talks to the woman at the front. Once they're done talking I follow Christian in and sit opposite to him.

"This place is very beautiful."

"Thank you." He replies causing me to frown. "You own this place?" I ask. He nods. "This restaurant was what I originally wanted to open before I took over my mother's hotel."

I nod. "What about your company?"

He sighs and looks at his phone which vibrates. He ignores the call, putting the phone in his pocket. "Um. I'm going to be handing it over to Antonio someday. I have things I want already and the company along with the mafia is unnecessary and too much."

"That's fair. I think Antonio suits a businessman." I smile. He agrees as a waiter makes her way to our table.

The waiter has light brown faded hair and a long-sleeved white shirt with a black long skirt.

"Good evening, Mr and Mrs Fontana. What can I get for you?"

I scan the menu. "Can I get the baked rigatoni please?"

The waiter asks for drinks along with what Christian would like and makes her way back to the kitchen.

I stare at the message Aria sent me and laugh quietly.
