After that night, I woke up early to find a note on my desk.
We're close. Closer than you think.
- LeoWe've been getting notes delivered to our home outside of our gate disguised as company letters or bills. Sebastian and I have a draw full of letters that he's been sending for the past month.
When Tate told me he was planning something revengeful In a silent way I finally understood. We've been thinking all this time he wanted war like he originally said, but now that he knows we will beat him at that he's come up with something that ends to hurt but not violence.
We just don't know what it is yet.
My father walks into my office, laptop in his hand. He sits opposite my chair and places his laptop down on the table in front of us.
He huffs and opens it looking at what appears to be a load of emails.
"Nice to see you too, Father." I start. I don't remember the last time I saw my father around the house. I only ever see him at forced family dinners. He claims to be 'working' but I know he's been chilling in Hawaii having the time of his life now that I have stepped up as Don.
"Not now, Dario." He grumbles. "Tate got a letter from me a couple of months ago. Well, not me. I don't know who it was. I got told earlier today when Leah was tidying her room. Apparently, it was quite a nasty letter and she didn't believe I'd write it so she asked."
I furrow my brows. "But, we're currently having a look at it for fingerprints or any traces of evidence..." he trails off when another email is sent to him.
I clench my jaw. "Why didn't she tell anyone?"
My father rolls his eyes. "Don't be an idiot, son. She was new to the family at the time. Why would she go to you She must've thought I hated her."
"Why have you come to my office? And why is this relevant now? We have Leo and his mafia to deal with-"
"Quiet it down, Dario. I know what I'm doing! This will be useful. You have a snake amongst the men right?"
"Yes. Stop calling me my middle name. It reminds me that I'm named after you-"
"Whatever. I came to tell you. At this point in time, no information is useless." My father gets up from his seat and walks towards my door.
"And stop worrying. I trained you better. You act now and worry later. Got it?" He says.
"Capito," I reply.
{Understood.}Antonio and Sebastian walk into my office with, the same energy as my father.
I groan at their presence. "What now!?"
"Chill, sweetie. Want me to make you some soup to calm your nerves? My Nanna taught me-" Antonio starts. I cut him off, throwing a book his way.
He dodges the book and laughs. "You think this is funny?"
