Thomas's POV

I was with Alby and Chuck by the hammock's. He was standing. "What happened to him?" I asked about Ben. Alby looked down and sighed. "It's called the Changing. It's what happens when someone gets stung." He sat down beside me. "Listen, I went back to get stuff from the med-jacks hut and Blair was lying on the cot. I asked all the gladers who put her there but they didn't know. Was it you?" He asked. I stared ahead. Then looked down. "Yeah,"

"Okay, now look. I don't want anyone, you know, messing with her, without her permission-"

"No, no Alby, I wouldn't do that. I didn't do that. I just carried her to the hut. You could ask Chuck, he was there the whole time." We both turned to look at Chuck behind us. He looked up in surprise, and said "Yeah, yeah he's right." Alby looked at me, expression less. Then looked away and stood up. "Okay." He started to walk away.

"Wha- Alby." He turned.

"Yeah?"

"What's gonna happen to him?"

He didn't answer. He just looked at me, and walked away.

Newt's POV

Blair was on the cot in the med-jacks hut. She had gotten punched by Ben. And now she was passed out and had a black eye. Ben had been stung, so we put him the pit. I guess he had seen Blair and had attacked her. But the one question, I had was, why did she call me?  I realised with a sudden jolt, she was pretty. Well, she was beautiful to my liking. I was alone in the hut with her. I bent down beside her cot, and lightly placed a strand of her hair away from her face. Her black eye was terrible. She'd called my name. That was the first name that came to her mind, while she could've been killed. I smiled. "Newt..." She whispered. I jerked back. I didn't know why I was scared of her remembering my name. I just had to keep her a distance away. Maybe I had cared for her. Maybe we had known each other. Of course we'd known each other, how else would she remember my name? But I don't remember her anymore, at least. I felt bad for treating her like I was. I was being cold to her, and acting annoyed with her. But if we did care about each other before, then maybe it was good. I was just so confused.

Blair's POV

I run into Newts arms as I see him. "You came." I say. He smiles. But it's sad.

"Of course." I pull away and stare at him.

"We have to be quick, they're gonna notice we're missing, soon." He hugs me again.

"I know but there's something I gotta tell you." He pulls away this time, tears in his eyes. "Sonya's gone." My heart stops beating.

"What?"  He cry's into my shoulder.

"I know. I know. I know. I think they put her inside."  I hug him tighter.

"Oh, Newt. I'm so sorry.'" I whisper.

"Just promise me you won't let them put you in there." I look into his eyes. There was something I had to tell him. But I was panicking now. They had put Sonya inside. And they always put  the older siblings next.

"But, there gonna put you in there, I heard them talking about it, Newt, they're gonna put you in there! You saw how many die every year! We can't be separate. We can't be apart." I start crying.

"I know. I know. But, Blair, just promise me you won't let them put you in there."I shake my head. That was impossible.

"But, Newt-"

"Promise me! Please, Blair, promise me. I couldn't live with myself. I couldn't live with myself if you died." I stare at him, for a couple of seconds before saying the impossible.

"I promise."

I sit upright and went into a fit of sobbing. The dream was so real. And it had such a great deal of sadness. "Blair?" Newt's voice. I looked up and saw Newt, with a concerned expression on his face. Seeing my tears, he was beside my bed in seconds. "Whats wrong? Are you alright?" I pulled him onto the bed with me.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry." I muttered. Then I felt his arms wrap around me. For a moment, I stopped sobbing and freeze. But there was something comforting about them, and... and familiar. "Newt?" I asked and looked up at him, with puffy eyes. He looks down at me. "Thank you. I saw you..." I said, and my eyes started drooping.

"What? What do you mean, Blair?" But then darkness took over before I could answer him.

Later...

I woke up. My eye throbbed. I guess I didn't realise before, when Newt- Newt! I sat up- and saw Gally leaning against the door, which was closed. He turned to me and came closer. He smiled. "Good, you're awake, you've been getting everyone a little worried. How are you feeling?" He said and sat beside me on the cot. I smiled back. "My eye just hurts. And my wrist. And my back." He chuckles.

"I think you were bleeding, when we got to you. Want me to check?" He asked it so nicely, though I could feel it was ripped halfway down. But if all he wanted was to check, then I could let him. I nodded and turned my back to him. He put his hand on my bare skin, where it was cut. "I'm just gonna show you how long the cut is." He said and ran his hand a quarter of my back. I gasped. His touch was so light and gentle and slow... he took his hand off my back. I turned to him. He smiled. "I'm sorry, but it looks terrible. How did you get it?" I laughed and look down.

"Well, there was bones scattered on the ground. And Ben pushed me onto them." I look at him. He looked disgusted and horrified.

"That sounds gross." He says and we both start laughing.

"Gally, can you do me a favour?" His smile vanished.

"Yeah. What do you need?" He asks. I think. I wanted Newt, but then again I was supposed to talk to Thomas today.

"Can you get me Thomas? I want to ask him something." I say and see a dark cloud cross his face, but then it vanishes and he stands up. "Sure." He says and walks out. It's not long before Thomas walks in. He's tall and lean. I sit up straight and smile. He smiles back and sits beside me. "You wanted me?" I nodded.

"You wanted to talk to me earlier about the voices." I said and he nodded.

"Okay, well the voices that I hear are a girls. At first I thought maybe they were you. But this girl sounds more different. I get them when i'm sleeping or when I'm triggered by something that brings them back." My eyes widened.

"That's how mine are. Gally and the others said I knew Newts name, that I said it in my sleep. And the first time I heard it being said, it triggered a conversation in my mind, though I had never had a conversation with him, when I got here." I told him. He looked deeply concentrated.

"Do you remember any dreams?" He said and I remembered my dream I just had.

"Yes. I was running into Newts arms and we were talking about... someone... Sonya, I think her name was and he said they put her inside. And then I told him that they were gonna put him inside, and I said that people die in there and then he made me promise that I wouldn't let them put me in, though." He swiftly turned to me.

"They're memories. I had a dream as well, about a girl with dark hair and blue eyes. And she told me, W.I.C.K.E.D isn't good. Then I remember another female voice, telling me W.I.C.K.E.D is good. But that is all I can get." The more I thought about it, the more it made sense. Then I realised something. I turned to him, quickly, panicking.

"Thomas, I think in my dream, we were talking about the Maze."
