Thomas's POV

It was pretty dark out, when me and Gally walked to the pit. I wanted to ask him a question but decided on a safer question. "Hey, what is your problem with me?" I asked. He didn't hesitate to answer me. "Everything started to go wrong the minute you showed up." He said. I walked ahead. "First Ben, then Alby..." He trailed off. I looked at him. He was looking at the ground. "And- and now the girl." The girl? Teresa? There was Blair too. I turned to him.

"What about Blair huh? You-you just blame Teresa, and not even Blair?" He glared at me.

"Do you want me to blame Blair? 'Cause she came to me-"

"That wasn't what I was saying. You know what I meant. You are blaming Teresa, when Blair came here first and did nothing, so maybe Teresa didn't do anything. Give her a chance-"

"Give her a chance?! She's nothing like Blair! She wakes up and throws most of our food at us, then she wants to put stuff into Alby, and now she wants to replace Blair!" After that last sentence, he paled. Clearly he didn't mean to say that. I glared at him this time.

"What do you mean replace Blair? They are two different types of people. She could never replace Blair, no offence to Teresa, but she cannot. And why do you care so much about Blair?!"

"Because you stole her from me!" He lost it. "She was into me! I knew her first!" I didn't know how to react. I shook my head and walked into the pit. He closed it behind me and locked it. "Gally you know we can't stay here forever." I said. He gave me one last glance and got up and walked away.

Blair's POV

I walked outside and saw Gally and Thomas walking away. I sighed. I had wanted to talk to Thomas privately about what happened earlier and what happened with Gally. But I guess it would have to be another day. I walked to the hammocks and sat on mine. It was dark. The torch on the pole near our beds was out. I squinted into the darkness trying to find the rocks they used to light them, when I heard a noise. It came from behind me. Like a scraping noise. I squinted harder into the darkness, but it was too dark. Not hearing it again, I turned around- and a hand flew onto my mouth. I screamed but it was muffled. The hand gripped my mouth hard, it hurt. Then strong hands lifted me up. There was definitely more than one person. The hands were at my feet and shoulders. I kicked and screamed. But the hand around my mouth squeezed harder. I whimpered in pain. I looked up to see who, but they had mask's on. Hard mask's. I kicked more. Than an idea popped into my head. I bit the hand. It tasted salty and the hand instantly let go, and I let out a scream- one loud ear-piercing scream. Then something banged against my head and everything went black.

Newt's POV

As soon as I heard that scream I knew who it belonged to. Blair. Me and Teresa were watching Alby, while he slept. But Teresa was sleeping. Until the blood-curdling scream rose through the glade. And Teresa and I both jumped out of our chairs. She looked at me, panicked. "What was that?" She asked me, confusion and panic on her face. "Blair," I said. I headed towards the door and walked outside. She was behind me. The glade was strangely dark. We usually had torches lit everywhere. But they were out. I saw the boys running to me. "It was Blair's, wasn't it?" Chuck asked, beside me. I looked down at him and nodded slowly. The reason's why she screamed started forming in my head. What if she got stung? What if she tripped on something and got hurt? And how hurt? "Newt, we gotta look for her." Teresa said. I nodded, not meeting her burning blue eyes. "Okay, everyone split up and search for Blair. She could be anywhere." I instructed. Everyone nodded. "And go in pairs." They all nodded again and took off running in different directions. Then I saw Gally running up to me, from the darkness. "What's going on? Who was that?" He asked. Then he saw Teresa talking to Chuck. And he realised. No one would scream that high pitched like Teresa or Blair. "Blair. Okay, we gotta look for her." I rolled my eyes.

"I just told everyone that, Gally. So me, you, Chuck and Teresa are going to check near the forest near our hammocks." I said. Teresa looked at me panicking. I could understood. If I was the one of two boys in a Maze, I would want that other boy to survive as well. "Alright, well, let's go."

We walked to the hammocks and soon enough arrived. I checked her hammock, which was empty, but warm. "Guys! I think you should come and see this!" I heard Chuck call, near the forest line. We all ran to him. And on the ground was a shoe. And drops of blood on the grass near it. Teresa covered her mouth and gasped. Gally knelt down and picked up the shoe. "This has got to be Blair's shoe." He said.

"Is there anything else?" I asked. Gally and Chuck searched around in the grass more. But came up with nothing. "Bloody hell." I ran my hands through my hair, frustrated. "BLAIR!" I yelled. I saw Teresa jump. Then everywhere around the glade, I heard everyone else calling her name. "BLAIR!" Gally yelled. We went to the wall and looked through the field. "BLAIR!"

"Do you think she's okay?" I heard Chuck ask, behind us to Teresa. I heard her laugh, but it was nervous. "Of course. She's smart."

"BLAIR!" I yelled that one my hardest. Then I heard a voice. A very faint voice. "Newt!" It was Blair. I turned to look at Teresa and Gally. There eyes were wide and surprised and confused.

"Blair?" I yelled again.

"Newt!" It was definitely Blair.

"Where are you?!" I yelled back. Teresa's eyes never left mine.

"OVER HERE!" It sounded close to the wall. So we walked to the wall. And looked around. We weren't far from the doors. I was scared for Blair. I had no idea where she was. But I could hear her. "Where are you?!" I said again. It was silent. "Blair!" Gally yelled.

"IN THE MAZE!" I heard her scream. Then I heard a griever screech. Everything stopped. Blair. Was. In. The. Maze. How did she get in the Maze? Gally looked at me, terrified. "We have to get her out." He said.

"Don't you think I would if I could?" I asked him, incredulously. I kicked the wall. "SHIT!" She was in the Maze. The one thing I only cared about was in the Maze. In the bloody Maze. I stopped kicking the wall and turned to Gally and Teresa and Chuck. "Okay, as soon as those door's open, I want Minho and Thomas to go out looking for her, alright?" I said. Gally looked about to protest, but he closed his mouth. "Okay, get them ready. They have a mission."
