Chapter 16: Elijah's Birthday

9/15/2018 (Elijah's 10th Birthday)

Elijah's P.o.v

I woke up today and walked into the kitchen. "Happy Birthday!" Taylor and Astrid exclaimed, before hugging me. I hugged them back happily. This is my first birthday with Taylor and the first in years to not be spent in an orphanage. Taylor makes me and Astrid each a stack of three pancakes for breakfast. Once we finished breakfast, Taylor asked me if there was anything that I wanted to do today since it's my birthday, "Could we go shopping... and maybe a picnic in Central Park?" I ask Taylor, "Yes we definitely can." Taylor replies. I change into a blue sweater, a black shirt, and black pants. After I get changed, I go to the living room where Taylor sits on the couch with Olivia in her lap on her phone, probably reading fans comments on drama surrounding her. Astrid sits beside Taylor, and is watching Friends on the TV.

Once they notice me, they finish what their doing and get ready to go shopping. We leave the house and enter the black SUV, and after 20 seconds the black SUV starts the drive to the mall. Throughout the car ride Taylor tells us about "Lover" and when the album will release. When we arrive at the mall so has the paparazzi. Taylor uses umbrellas to cover our faces (Like in Miss Americana), and we walk into the mall.

The first store we enter is a jewelry store, Taylor briefly talks with an employee and after a minute they return with a bag. Taylor thanks them and exits the store. We walk through the mall for a minute before we enter another store, this one being the Disney store. I find a Stitch plush and ask Taylor if I can get it, she says yes and I put it in the cart. Astrid got an Angel plush and put it in the cart. We go to the cash register and Taylor pays for the plushes. We exit the Disney store and go into a clothing store, I find a nice varsity jacket with NYC on it and I also find a nice golf shirt and a pair of comfy blue pants. Astrid gets a denim jacket and a blue hooded sweater. Taylor gets herself a black dress, a shirt with 1989 written on it and a blue tye die sweater. When we exit the mall we have four bags and a crowd of paparazzi. We make a run for the black SUV and quickly enter it, putting our bags down on the ground as it speeds away.

After a the ride back home me and Astrid put our stuff in our bedroom. When we enter the kitchen, Taylor grabs a black box out of a bag. "I got this for you." Taylor says, handing me the box, I open it to reveal a diamond necklace with my name engraved on it. "You didn't have to do this Taylor." I say in shock, "You're right, I didn't have to do this, I wanted to do this for you." Taylor replies before enveloping me in her arms.

Then we begin our walk to Central Park. We walked past many buildings and stores on the walk to Central Park. When we arrived at the park, Taylor got the picnic basket out from her bag, and we began setting out the picnic. Just before we start to eat we see Selena, Ryan, and Emily walking towards us. "Surprise!" Selena excitedly tells Taylor, "Selena, what are you guys doing here?" Taylor asked Selena, "We all wanted to take a walk, what better place to go to than Central Park." Selena replied, "Oh, and Happy Birthday Elijah." Selena added. Selena, Ryan and Emily joined us for our picnic. We each had a sandwich, an apple, and a chocolate chip cookie.

Once everyone finished eating we packed up and said goodbye to each other before going home. After arriving at home, we watched six episodes and at 4:30 the doorbell rang. Taylor opened the door and Selena along with Ryan and Emily stood there. They all gave me a hug, before Selena helped Taylor make dinner. The doorbell rang again and Selena opened it, Harry and Ed both stood at the door. Harry and Ed both gave me and hug and said "Happy Birthday" to me.

By 6:00 Taylor had finished dinner and everyone showed up, Karlie, Jimmy Fallon, and a few others showed up at 5:30. Dinner was homemade pizza, homemade pasta, a Ceasar salad and some ham. After I finished eating, I sat at the Dining room table having a conversation with everyone. We spoke about me meeting Taylor, how life with Taylor has been, and what is my favorite color and holiday, which like Taylor is Christmas.

Half an hour after everyone finished eating, Taylor grabbed my birthday cake and everyone sang Happy Birthday. I made my wish then blew out the ten candles that were on the cake. Taylor helped me cut the first slice of cake. Everyone was eating a slice of the delicious cake, some going back for seconds. After I ate two slices of cake, I conversed with everyone while I waited for people to finish eating.

Once everyone finished eating, I started to open my gifts. The first gift I opened was a shiny red acoustic guitar. The next gift is a notebook, to write the lyrics that me and Astrid will create. After a few more gifts, (A signed copy of Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone, The Hunger Games book set, and some clothes) I opened up my last present which were tickets to Taylor and Beyoncé's upcoming concerts. I thanked everyone for the gifts and for coming over for my birthday. Thirty-five minutes later and everyone had left except Harry, who Taylor invited to stay the night.

By 8:00, we all arrived at the stadium. Me, Astrid, and Harry found our seats in the front row as Taylor prepared for the concert. Fifteen minutes had passed and Taylor walked out between the two giant screens, while "...Ready For It?" began playing. Thirty-five minutes later and Taylor started preforming "Look What You Made Me Do".

After preforming "Look What You Made Me Do", Taylor preformed "End Game".  After performing "End Game" and "King Of My Heart", Taylor preformed "Delicate".

Taylor went on to perform the rest of her setlist, and she just began performing "This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things".

At the end of the song, Taylor brought me, Astrid, and Harry onto the stage, causing a huge applause from the crowd. Taylor introduced her backup singers, band, and backup dancers, before we sank into the stage taking a rocketsled backstage.

Once we got backstage, we all went to the Rep Room. The waiting fans loudly cheered when we entered the Rep Room. Harry and Taylor were signing many fans' posters or albums. While many fans were talking with Harry and Taylor, some came over to me and Astrid, once they found it was my birthday many said "Happy Birthday." Others asked how my birthday has been and I replied with "Its been incredible, better than my Wildest Dreams." Causing some people to laugh at the pun.

Once everyone left the Rep Room, we left the stadium and went back home. I knew one thing for sure, this was the best birthday ever.
