Chapter 28: last concert of Rep tour

Taylor's Perspective

Tonight's the night, tonight's the final concert of the Reputation Stadium Tour. I have so many different feelings; happiness that the tour is ending, but sadness because I won't be performing infront of a crowd for a little while.
Astrid and Elijah are going to be in the suite with Selena, Harry, Ryan, Emily, and Timothée. I invited Timothée because of how much everyone likes to be around him. The production crew are testing everything and making sure that there'll be no technical issues.
Right now I'm in the flying basket for the 'Delicate' performance. I love the view from up here, you can really see everything. I love flying over the fans and hearing them cheer, it makes me feel so happy.
After we check for technical issues, I perform my soundcheck of 'Shake It Off', followed by 'Bad Blood', 'Don't Blame Me', and 'Ready For It?'. I do the soundcheck for a few reasons:
1. To see if I need to make any changes vocally
2. For tech reasons
3. To keep a steady routine

Everyone is excited, from the tech personnel, to the backup dancers, and me. We're all excited about what is next. The only known thing that's next is 'Lover'. That new album and era that awaits us.
Once the soundchecks are done, I hang out with everyone. I started talking to Selena and Harry, whilst Ryan, Emily, Astrid and Elijah are hanging out with Timothée. Timothée is four years older than them. I can hear them joyously laughing and joking with each other.
"I'm so excited for this!" I said excitedly,
"We're all excited for you Taylor!" Selena and Harry said.

Elijah, Astrid, Emily, Ryan, and Timothée walked towards us, their faces with big smiles, obviously laughing. "You're hilarious." Elijah said to Timothée. They clearly speak highly of Timothée, it's pretty obvious.
We talked to each other backstage until it got closer to the start of the concert, then I went into my dressing room and waited for my cue. There were only thirty minutes until the concert started, and I could hear the roar of the crowd. They obviously were anticipating my arrival onto the stage.

Once the vignette started, I headed for the stage, arriving slightly before it ended. The band and back-up singers started playing 'Ready For It?'. The screens parted and I entered onto the stage.
"Are you ready for it?" I sang, before the bass dropped, and before I performed the rest of the song.
Next I performed 'I Did Something Bad'. It was surreal to me that this is the last show on the reputation tour. I did my transition into 'Gorgeous'.

Once 'Gorgeous' ended, next was the medley of 'Style', 'Love Story', and 'You Belong With Me'. This medley has three of my favorite songs put together.
I followed this up with 'Look What You Made Me Do'. Look What You Made Me Do is one of my favorite songs off of reputation. I know that Look What You Made Me Do is definitely a fan favourite song off of reputation.
I performed 'End Game', followed by 'King Of My Heart', and 'Delicate'.

Delicate is one of my favorite songs to perform on the Reputation Stadium Tour. The fact that this could be the last time performing it is still unbelievable. Afterwards I performed 'Shake It Off', followed by 'Dancing With Our Hands Tied'. I decided to perform 'Wildest Dreams' as the last surprise song on the Reputation Tour.

I then performed 'Blank Space'. Blank Space is my most popular song, I mean, almost everyone knows it. After 'Blank Space', I performed 'Dress'. Next was the mashup of 'Bad Blood' and 'Should've Said No'. This mashup I love because it captures songs from two different eras put seamlessly together.

The rest of the show was a blur, flying be so quickly. The last thing I remember was performing the mashup of 'This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things' and 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together'. I thanked the fans for this amazing journey that is the Reputation Tour.

I exited the stage and ran backstage, where I was met with Harry, Astrid, Elijah, Selena, Ryan, Emily, and Timothée. We all celebrated with my back-up singers, back-up dancers, and the band. "I can't believe that it's over." I said still in disbelief, "Now it's almost time, for the world to hear Lover." Elijah said, prompting me to nod in agreement. We went back to our hotel rooms, yes I got everyone hotel rooms.

We went to our hotel room. "It's getting late, you should probably get some sleep." I said to Elijah and Astrid. They nodded in understanding, before going up to bed, eventually falling asleep. Me and Harry stayed up another hour, before we sleepily went to bed.
