Chapter 26

Taylor's Perspective

It's been nine days since the Halloween party, I've performed two concerts: one in Brisbane and one in Sydney. I have a concert tomorrow night in Auckland. The plan is that myself, Astrid, Elijah, and Harry are going to fly down to Auckland, since we're still in New York. I start to make myself some waffles for breakfast. Once they're ready I sit at the island and enjoy my delicious waffles. Astrid and Elijah walk down the stairs. Astrid yawns, "Good morning mom." I smiled widely, Astrid called me mom, before she would call me Taylor. "What's for breakfast?" Elijah asked curious, "I can make you both some pancakes, or waffles. Of course there's also cereal and bagels if you want those." I replied, Astrid and Elijah both asked me to make some waffles.

After a few minutes, I hand them their waffles and they sat down at the island. I sat beside them and started to listen back to my demos. I picked my favorite ones, so when I was in the studio with Jack Antonoff, we could work on them.
I closed my laptop and sat beside Elijah and Astrid. Harry walked into the kitchen, and he kissed me on my cheek. We all sat at the island, and once everyone finished eating I told them about tomorrow's concert.

We decided that we'll leave for the airport around noon. Until then we will play some board games. I sit down after grabbing the board games and I call everyone over and they choose the game. Afterwards they sit down and we start the game. The game in question is Monopoly. I chose the top hat as my game piece. Elijah, Astrid, and Harry chose their game pieces. After determining who starts the game, Elijah rolled the dice and got a nine, placing him on Connecticut Avenue, which he didn't buy.

After three more hours, we finished the game. I made everyone homemade pizza with a garden salad and some mozzarella breadsticks for lunch. Once I finished making lunch, everyone grabbed some pizza, salad, and a few mozzarella sticks. We sat down and ate our lunch. Once we finished lunch, we decided to play some video games. The first game we played was Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. We played six cups before we switched to Super Smash Bros Ultimate. "I'm going to kick all of your butts." I confidently said, "Yeah, sure." Harry sassily replied.

Somehow Elijah beat all of us. "I beat you all." He lightly bragged, causing me to roll my eyes. We continued to play Smash Bros for a few more hours. At 4 pm, we left the confines of my Tribeca apartment, and were heading to the airport. We quickly went through airport security before getting on my private jet. After twenty minutes, the jet accelerated down the runway. Once we finished our climb, I told everyone about how excited I am to sign with Republic Records. Astrid grabbed a book and started reading it during the flight. Me, Elijah, and Harry started playing NHL'18 on the PS4. I sided with Harry, so it's Elijah vs Me and Harry.

We picked out our teams. Elijah took the New York Islanders, so we countered with the New York Rangers. The game started. Elijah scored a goal not long after. I figured out the controls and bodychecked Elijah's character, causing him to change it. "How can you do that?!" I asked shocked, before teaching myself how to. Harry's player skated briskly down the ice and almost scored, but was stopped by the goalie on Elijah's team. Elijah's player weaved between players on our (me and Harry's) team.

By the halfway point, the score was five to four, with Elijah's team winning. Me and Harry started a plan, that we quickly put into place. The plan was that one of us goes after Elijah's player, whilst the other would play defense and wait by the blue line when we were in Elijah's end. If Elijah tried a breakaway one of us would try to stop him, while the other would be open to pass to if needed. The plan worked decently, as we stopped multiple goal attempts from Elijah.

We tied the score at six to six, leading to an overtime. The overtime was intense with neither team wanting to lose. With thirteen seconds on the clock, I scored the winning goal, thus, winning the game. Me and Harry celebrated before thanking Elijah for the close game.

The rest of the flight was spent listening to or playing music. We put on our seatbelts as the plane started to decline and land. Once we landed, we went to the hotel and made a dinner. After dinner we relaxed and watched a movie, then Elijah and Astrid went to bed and fell asleep. Harry and I snuggled into each other and watch some episodes of The Big Bang Theory.

We snuggled for an hour before we went to our bedroom and fell asleep.
