VIVAAN
I was busy in a conference with the head of our all industries, getting a monthly report, setting new targets, & looking at the previous months' achievements, & losses.
It took me almost two hours, & nearly 1:45 pm, I came back to my office along with Avi, as I asked him the details of our shipments to Colombia & Brazil, as now we have spread our legs in South America as well, in both legal & illegal businesses!
It has always been so for us, we spread both our legal & illegal trade together, everywhere, it provides us a better cover for the illegal one, plus a better business climate for the legal one, it's like the two businesses are mutual to us!
Avi opened his phone, but smiled suddenly, huh?
"As much as I hate that ugly smile on your uglier face, I would like to know the reason behind it!" I spoke, as I leaned back on my chair, resting my arms on my sides.
"It's Vidhi's text! She called but I didn't pick up, in conference, so she texted!" he explained.
"I asked what is it, not how, when & all..." I spoke in irritation. I'm already hungry & tired after missing my breakfast, but his shits never end!
'Then who devoured her lips this morning?' reminded my subconscious, & I agreed that I had the heartiest breakfast ever!
"She says we'll have a special lunch today!" he spoke, after rolling his eyes at my behavior to him.
"Cancel it!" ordered I.
"Why?" he asked frowning.
"We came already late today, & have a lot of work pending! Tell her to cancel whatever her silly plan is, we can't go anywhere!" added I.
"We needn't go! The lunch is coming for us here!" he clarified.
"Huh? From when did we get this lucky to have lunch from home?" asked I, darkly amused.
"Well let's see, how did we get lucky, & how much lucky did we get!" he spoke in an amused tone too, of course we can't trust Vidhi, she might have done something childish again!
*knock*
"Come in!" permitted I, as I saw my driver coming in with lunch.
"Let's see!" spoke Avi as he got up, & went to it, rubbing his palms together in anticipation & excitement.
He settled the parcel on the table in front of the couch.
"It's heavy & warm! Means it actually has food!" spoke he, all amused & excited to know what Vidhi did this time.
"The parcel has no restaurant name! Check it!" spoke I, as I yet sat on my chair, comfortably, closing my eyes, leaning my head on the headrest.
"Huh? Come here, Bhai!" spoke Avi suddenly all serious, as I opened my eyes, stood up, & went to him.
He handed me a beautiful bouquet of jasmines & red roses, while he held another, with a pink note attached to both. Both had our names attached to it, so he gave me the one with my name.
The flowers instantly reminded me of 'her'! How she smells like jasmines & how she sent me the jasmines when I was in hospital! & how she threw my note, when I sent her a red-roses bouquet, in anger, but she couldn't deny the roses! I smiled at the thought, as I sighed remembering her & the morning incidents, where she left me all hardened, all again!
"So Vidhi sent us flowers as well!" spoke I, as Avi opened the note & smiled, settling himself on the couch.
"No it's not her!" he spoke as he read the note, smiling genuinely.
