"Talia, this is an awful idea," Isabelle huffed, the girl's arm latched around hers with her head laying gently on her shoulder.
"It'll be perfectly fine and if all goes wrong then we can move onto plan B!" she spoke with a smile on her face. "Plan B is just the original plan you guys had, to just fight everyone or whatever. By the way, can werewolves tell what you are? Like how vamps can smell our blood."
"I don't believe they can but they do have pretty good noses," Isabelle shrugged.
"The fuck are they meant to smell? The sweet smell of heaven left on your bodies when you dropped from the sky?" Isabelle slapped Talia's shoulder, laughing, causing Talia to lift her head from where it lay as she rubbed the area that was slapped.
"We don't fall from the sky, we never have. The Angel gave-"
"Gave his blood so some human guy could drink it, yes yes I know the Lore!" Talia interrupted. She had read up on shadow world history once whilst she was bored. Also Isabelle had told her the story many times, having been very interested.
"Stop acting like that hurt," she gave Talia a look.
"It did," Talia pouted. "Oh, we're here!" She lay her head back on Isabelle's shoulder, resuming the position they were in before. She peered in through the glass, a look of confusion sprawled across her face.
She had caught the eye of one of the men that was facing her side, the man turning to whisper to his friends who then also turned to see what was going on. One of them nodded their head in Talia and Isabelle's direction, the rest seemingly shielding someone from their view with their bodies.
"Reckon that's Clary?" she whispered to Isabelle.
"Definitely but it's probably best that they make sure she can't see us, if she recognises us then she might blow this whole thing," Isabelle responded, to which Talia agreed.
"Can I help you ladies?" The door had swung open, one of the men grumbling out.
"Hi, yes!" Talia sweetly smiled. "My girlfriend and I were taking a nice, long walk on the beach..." she paused momentarily, seemingly stuck in a memory. "That's what brought us together, I like long walks on the beach and she likes long walks on the beach so we were matched on Tinder and obviously, you see how stunning the girl is, I just had to swipe right on her. Greatest decision ever."
"I do love a long beach walk!" Isabelle played along.
"Between you and me, I don't. My friend made my profile and Isabelle, here, was the first profile I matched with and so I just decided to play along," she leaned in to whisper to the guy. She was stalling, providing a way for Jace and Alec to find ways to sneak in without being caught whilst the wolves' attention was on the door. "Ah, my legs are in pain! Anyways, we were just wondering-,"
"Wait, you don't like it at all? You lied to me?" Isabelle gasped, letting go of Talia as she looked at her in disbelief.
"Little white lie babe, anyways-,"
"The fuck's going on over there?" one of the men seated at the table called out, his neck stretched out to see what was happening. The man they were speaking to turned back to him.
"They're mundanes, I think," he called back. Talia internally sighed in relief, happy that the foundation on Isabelle's runes hid it well enough.
"Mundane? I am certainly not boring," Talia huffed in exasperation. "Anyways I got a bit peckish, saw this little building and was wondering if there's any food or if it's even open."
"We're closed," he grumbled, pushing the door closed but Talia had wedged her foot in the doorway.
"Now, I see a large group there so you clearly must not be," she spoke. "Are you homophobic or something? Dude, it's the 21st century, that's not cool."
