An eternity. That was what she had come to wait. Still, she had to grit her teeth at the company he brought.

Why was her beloved prince escorted by the sluts of his son's harem?

It is supposed that by giving his blood to drink he should be linked to her, so he would come to be at her side in exchange for the curse not making his poor cub suffer, as he should be suffering in these moments.

However, he looked... as calm, as serene as a Dark Lord could be, completely impassive, and she expected no less, she knew he wouldn't show weakness so easily and that's why she needed to resort to everything to break him, that's what it was about.

But, something was wrong if he came with those sluts.

Well, never mind, she smiled behind her tooth-bruised fingernail.

You are mine now, Gabriel.

She undid herself to reappear behind her desk, protruding her cleavage as much as she could and further opening the rip in her skirt. Not that she needed all that, but this long-awaited meeting should be...perfect.

She turned absently in her rocking chair, imagining little Marie's face when she learned of the decision he had made, for the sake of her precious baby. She will have cried, that lizard, the only thing she knew how to do, after all. She wished to be a flea in her hair to be there, watching.

But she would have something better, she told herself biting her permanently lipsticked lip.

Three soft knocks on the door.

"Go ahead, Adeline," she said, pretending to take a note in her notebook.

"Your guest is here, Milady" said the little voice as she opened the door a crack.

"It was about time!" She closed her notebook and set it to the side along with her pen. She arranged her already perfect hairstyle and crossed her fingers over the carved wood of her desk. "Show him in, darling, please."

"Yes, Milady."

The gate closed. As it opened again, the dark and imposing figure of the Prince of Darkness filled the already enormous doorway. The jewels on his new suit shone brighter than the electric lights in the room, the tall hat and dark sunglasses partially covering his handsome, stern face.

He planted the tip of his ebony cane on the floor, and the door clanged shut.

"I got your message," he said with a low growl, "and here I am, Moira." The red fire in his eyes could almost melt the glass of the useless glasses. "Or do you prefer your other name, Delina?"

She smiled widely, leaning back in her seat.

"You don't know how exciting it is to hear that name from your lips, after so many centuries, my beloved Gabriel."

The vampire's face remained impassive as she rose with each calculated movement, and circled her desk, making her hips undulate sharply.

"I hope... you haven't forgotten our secret promise..."

"Oh, believe me, words like yours are hard to forget."

"I am so glad, my love!"

"That's why you cursed Marie in the past, and now you did the same with our son."

She had to grit her teeth at the word "our" but she recovered, moving closer to him, dramatically:

"I had no choice, my love, they left me no choice! It's all her fault, you know! If she didn't exist, we would have been so happy, you and I! But she keeps coming back, she keeps tormenting you and bringing out your weaker side, she just can't leave you alone! Please understand, my dear!"
