Karl's Pov

Her footsteps ran down the hallway, pulling me out of my thoughts while I sat with Chandler. I knew that they were hers. I looked up at Chandler, who was now talking with Cara, his girlfriend.

"Karl!" I heard a scream from behind me. I turned around to see Cora Davis standing there, with a stack of papers in her hands.

"What's got you so excited?" I asked her, smiling at her as she leaned against the table in front of me.

"I got accepted to Florida State!" She screamed, causing Cara to get up and join her sister.

"No way! Isn't that your dream school?" Chandler asked, standing up to hug her.

"Yes! I'm so excited!" She smiled widely, looking around at all of us.

"I'm proud of you, Cora. I'm so happy for you." I said, kissing the side of her head.

Cara and Cora, I know. It's confusing to me too, but their parents wanted them to have close names. Cara and Cora were now jumping around in excitement in the Davis house.

"When do you leave?" Chandler asked, and I looked up at my girlfriend with a smile.

"The start of the summer. I still have to finish my first year of college down here, then I'll be transferring to Florida." Cora put the papers down on the table, and I looked through them.

"This is cause for a celebration!" I screamed with happiness, and she danced around in happiness.

"Let's go!" She grabbed my hand, already knowing what I meant. I grabbed my car keys, waving at Chandler and Cara before running out of the Davis's house and to my car.

She got into the passenger's seat, and I got into the driver's seat, starting the car. I rolled all of the windows down, and put the sunroof down once she plugged her phone in and started to play music.

I looked over at her at a red light. The light illuminating off of her face. Her round face, her perfect lips, her button nose, her hazel eyes. She was like a perfect painting that deserved to be in museums. I could look at her all day and never get tired of seeing her face.

Cora is three years younger than Cara, which always caused Cara to be a big protector of her little sister. Cara always looked out for Cora, in every way she possibly could.

When Cora and I started dating, I got a mouth full from Cara. The protective don't break her heart or i'll break you talk. It was a funny conversation, especially with Chandler behind Cara, constantly making mocking faces as his girlfriend threatened me.

"I'm so excited to go! This is literally my dream." She breathed out, looking over at me as the car parked. Our spot. The top of a small hill, overlooking our town. It was our spot, everything was perfect up here.

"Perfect timing, the sun is setting." Cora rambled before I could even tell her I was happy for her.

She jumped out of the car, and sat on the hood while I got out of the car. She looked down at me with a smile on her face. She really is the love of my life.

"I'm so happy for you. I can't wait to see you follow your dreams." I spoke softly and she smiled. She always smiled so much, and that's one thing I absolutely love about her.

"Are you going to keep staring at me, or come sit with me?" She asked before holding her hand out. I grabbed it, lifting myself up on the hood, wrapping my arm around her shoulders. She laid her head on my shoulder.

Life is fucking amazing.

"I love you, Cora." I kissed her head and I could feel her cheeks raise in a smile.

"I love you too." She spoke softly as we looked out at the horizon watching the sun slowly disappear and the moon come out.

We are the moon and sun. Cora is the sun that lights up my dark nights. She is the sunshine of everyone's lives. If Cora walks into a room, it will immediately be happier. People will be laughing, Cora will have those people laughing.

Everything is better when she is involved. I have no idea what I'm going to do when she leaves. I know I will still be able to call her, and I know she will still be able to be the light of my life all the way in Florida. I'm going to miss her like crazy.

Cora Davis is the love of my life, and I know that for a damn fact.
